"After attending a memorial service, we decided to try out the restaurants near us and stumbled upon 1st Street Grill in Childersburg. We were very happy that we did because it turned out to be a fantastic soul food restaurant. To start, we ordered fried green tomatoes and blooming onions, both of which were fried perfectly and some of the best we've had. we had the best dinner! we had traveled in the april through childerburg and we stopped for the evening to eat a bite. the first place where we had one. so we found the first street grill and were so happy we did! the food was excellent and the owner sharara was so friendly and made us feel like home! great place to go!

The atmosphere at this restaurant is wonderful and the staff are very friendly! The food was delicious. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and grilled pork with macaroni and cheese and Cajun corn. It was all fantastic! The pork was incredibly tender, I didn't even need a knife to cut it. It practically melted in my mouth, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. This hidden gem is definitely worth a visit.
