"A very sophisticated restaurant experience. We first heard from the bar, Side Door, and we loved it. Great choice, beautiful building and atmosphere. Although the restaurant itself is elegant and delightful, the service was simply ok. We had some mistakes in our orders and the servers were constantly noticed as we were watching our whole meal. When I was in the food service myself for years, I have always tried to be invisible, but to be present, if necessary. A task that takes skill and attention. Our servers didn't have these skills. My fillet was also moderate, carburized at the edges and **** in the middle. Everything else was excellent."

In many ways, this is a classic restaurant with a contemporary feeling. The food is excellent, like the service. I was often in this restaurant, along with the Lawry's in Beverly Hills. However, the Beverly Hills restaurant has updated in a way that it feels more impersonal and efficient than traditional, but refreshed. I'd rather go to the five crowns because I get this personal attention and excellent food I'm used to.

We are here twice for Thanksgiving dinner and while the service is great and the atmosphere is cozy, the food is just ok. I had the fish option salmon at the time and it was well cooked, but unfortunately only a little clear. The Risotto option was too cheesy. Yorkshire pudding was very tasty. The Side Door Bar on the side of the restaurant brings me back to the little random pubs I visited in England, which was cool and it has its own menu, so to try the next time.
