Drive along this large lake and arrive at Hotel Forelle The restaurant offers an amazing lunch / dinner at the lake. We had the trout muellerin and the onion rust roasts (dry and beef roasts) the meal was perfect and the plum cake and coffee just rounded off a good meal. Nice service and some cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in a public environment (yes, that is important; every place that takes care of the rest rooms will have a clean kitchen); Enjoy the view of the light blue lake and the tranquility of the surroundings. Large hiking and hiking areas are nearby."

Decent food and reasonable prices. Server was friendly. I had the Greek salad for lunch and it was surprisingly a nice portion size.

We eat here often as the view is unbeatable and the veal Schnitzel is tasty with the best fries in Austria. The beer on tap is Kaiser which is a light beer but oh so good. Highly recommended. Waiters are also fast and friendly so all round a cool place to stop and enjoy the scenery and the crystal clear waters of Plansee.

Here on a tour to Schloss Neuschwanstein from Munich. Nice little spot at the lake and a good break. Food was pretty good I had very fresh and excellent fish with blowing Veggies. Hubby had the “Mac and Cheese” that was great, but RICH. Our friend had the pig and said it was nice. Wouldn't go out my way for food, but with the landscape was a nice route.
