"The Gateway Restaurant is a great place. The food is great, the service is great, the prices are great, and they even opened early for me one day because I got there before 7am. The Gateway is a staple in our community. It is like stepping back in time. I highly recommend eating here to everyone."

Awesome little historic spot I love all the Vintage Restaurant stuff there I definitely recommend really low price point bring cash it's easier on them little card machine is wacky:

I stopped with my father while I did some chores in Daytona. Breakfast and service were 5 stars. Great house cooked breakfast at a great price. Felt as served by Mom! Don't miss tasting this classic diner.

Very good breakfast. Great price and fast friendly service. Awesome home fries and pancakes. The vintage feel and long time service of this place to Daytona is amazing. I highly reccomend you visit this wonderful gem!

You can purchase a bottle of your favorite tequila and put it in a locked box on the wall. It's available every time you visit. If you are a tequila drinker I highly recommend an evening at Toro/ Tequila bar side. Sit at the bar and let Danny the bartender (Tequila Aficionado) help you find your favorite."

"I love this place. Because of the reviews of other people about the food and they were on site. Food was delicious and satisfying and plentiful. I had the chicken sandwich and my husband had the Codfish sandwich. Loved the variation of the beat mines with Bacon, Avocado tomato sprouts and Aloli sauce, its with a Papaya, Mango Coleslaw. We both had the Sweet Potato Fries as a secondary choice that was hot, crispy and salted, which regained the palate. We were so happy and satisfied with the quality of food."

"Quick service. Appetizers were great: octopus and calamari. Bread was very nice, but our server went to get one more and never brought it back. Baba ghanoush and hummus plate was very average, with only a tablespoon of roasted eggplant. Mushrooms were cooked in so much oil, that became greasy and soggy. Roasted potatoes were over baked, and sprinkled with parmesan afterwards, so it was no cheesy crust on them. Martinis were good."

"Really enjoyed eating at this establishment. Menu section was full with nice options. The complimentary homemade hummus was delicious. Food was very tasty and seasoned well, water view was amazing and service was good. There to celebrate a birthday; however, they do not offer birthday selections (ie desserts) for the birthday guest like many other restaurants. The restaurant could use some updating inside and out given the volume of customers that come there daily and regularly. Definitely will go back and pick the outside dinning area."
