"I heard someone talk about ikigai at a nearby brewery, so we were very excited to try a sushi spot in waukegan. we were not satisfied with ikigai. the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. our server offered to answer all the questions we had about the menu, and the service was very fast. we ordered the chicken and black dumplings as an appetizer. they were unbelievable, and I loved the sose so much that I asked to keep the sose for our rolling. our server brought us a fresh bowl of sauce because I loved it very much. we ordered three different rolls for dinner the spicy thunfish roll, the spider roll and the waukegan roll. I couldn't tell you what my favorite was. they were all amazing and the portions of the fish in each roll were super generous. Note: I always have problems with the use of chipsticks. (I owe it to you to be left behind, but I know that's just an excuse. one of the employees recognized this and immediately offered a great tutorial on the use of file printers. it was very appreciated! we will definitely be regular!"

"Put your hands down, my favorite BBQ around town. Big Ed is careful about quality from beginning to end with his food. From the cuts of the meat, to the wood that it uses to smoke, and the processes and lengths that it goes to ensure the best on your plate and in your belly; You'll be disappointed. In addition, it is 100% good people there. You feel like you're at home and everyone is happy to see you. As his shield says, get your ass in [da] and eat before you both starve! "I only give it one star, since it is the first time I have entered this place, and what I could see is that it is too dirty, inside and out. They do use gloves for preparation but its walls are black with dirt., I ordered hot dogs to take away and a hamburger. But the hot dogs were terrible, the sausage looked like plastic, you couldn't bite it, the hamburger was very good."

"We had a party of 8 and were seated in the very back of the restaurant. Unfortunately a guest at the table behind us was obnoxiously loud and made normal conversation at our table impossible. I know that is not the restaurants fault, but the tiny enclosed room echoed the noise. Service was good, although slow. The restaurant was very busy. Food was not that good. I had lasagna, it was OK. One person ordered chicken parmigiana, but was given fried chicken. It's not a restaurant I'd return to."
