"Completely unexpected and blown away at how good the food was! I was just hopeful to get a decent meal after a long day of driving but I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious my meal was. This will definitely be a stopping place whenever I'm in the area again. I had the meatballs with mushrooms and peppers over angel hair pasta. 10/10"

"Definitely won't be back. There were multiple issues I experienced. Service was incredibly slow! The waitress was very nice but you could tell she being rushed around only coming to our table to tell us she's sorry and she'll get to us as soon as she can. We were there for over 2 hours all told with orders being taken 30 min in and appetizer and food being dropped in the last 30. Soup and salad were pretty good, the Louisiana boil appetizer was very tasty, and my wife's meal (the daily special Fra Diavolo) was good. My food however, the governors scallops, were truly terrible. They are prepared in a different way everyday and the nightly preparation was Citrus Chipotle. When my $23 meal came, it was bland rice and beans, unseasoned vegetable mix and only 4 scallops absolutely drowned in BBQ sauce. I had been there for 2 hours at that point so I put my disgust aside, ate my scallops, paid my check, and tipped my waitress. If you're thinking of going, try to go at a less busy time and make sure you don't gamble on the chefs preparation of the day."

"We were our way home and found this place online with good reviews. So we decided to stop. We walked in the kid greeted us asked how many, told him 5. He grabbed menus and walked over to a table without even saying anything. We sat down our 2 year kept saying she was thirsty and not once did anyone come over and ask if we needed drinks. We were sitting right by the front door. We continued to sit for 15 mins without anyone saying anything to us till we decided to get up and leave. They asked if we were leaving while we were at the door. We were looking forward to trying the food."

"What a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. We made 4:30 PM resevations for a Sunday Birthday Dinner. This was a smart move, by 5:15 or so the place was packed with what seemed to a be a regular crowd. Clean and comfortable dining room, nothing really fancy. BUT the selections on the menu were outstanding and the wait staff was excellent. Everything from the soup, the appetizers, the entrees and the desserts all were fabulous. No premade commercial products here, all were freshly made with love and careful attention to details in presenting a delicious meal. The owner Chris greeted each diner as if they were an old friend. This is a restuarant you MUST visit and enjoy a wonderful dining experience. We can not find words to describe how much we enjoyed our visit to Overboards."

"Overboards is still my favorite restaurant in the Greentown area of Lake Wallenpaupack. Despite new ownership since Fall 2023, the food and service is still tops due to the fact that chef Lou is still running the kitchen. Seafood is the featured offering, but there are also good steak, pork and chicken options as well. Scallops are the best in the area. The restaurant has now added Mondays, and is now open Thursday through Mondays. Service is great, ask for Brenda as your server. DO make a reservation during busy times, which means now through summer, as the place can be filled, although Monday evenings are usually quiet."
