"'Domodachi ' has the misfortune of competing with the legacy of 'Nizi Sushi ' having once occupied the same space and a large percentage of Rutherford residents being loyal to either Nizi or 'Yellowtail Japanese Bistro ', but I can assure you, Domodachi is better than both of these places.Domodachi doesn 't have the over-the-top, trendy, borderline not even sushi that Yellow tail has.. "Easy parking, good service, good food. Owner, Luka, is a blast to talk to. Thursdays there is live music, was perfect volume where we were seated, not too loud to talk. Food was great. Lamb shanks with veggies and potatoes, calamari was hot and crispy, fresh mozz with roasted red peppers and arugula, etc. Perfect for the price and an impromptu Thursday night out. We will be coming back to try the gnocchi!"
