"I came here with 2 passport tickets from Taco MANIA 2022 through RI Foodfights. We were able to choose 2 of their street tacos. You have choices of adobo marinated chicken, steak, or pork and 3 choices of salsa-tomato Fresca, verde, del diablo. All tacos come with shredded lettuce and cilantro with soft corn tortilla. I had the steak and pork taco with salsa verde. The meat was fresh and tasty. It came out pretty quick. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot and there are plenty of tables inside. Service was friendly. You would order first and then they will bring the food to your table."

Great choices. Priced well. Easy to fee in and out w/ take out or stay and relax. Conveniently located. Nice helpful Staff. Very nice.

Locals go to spot for excellent Mexican food. Always enjoy the tacos and enchiladas along with the chips, salsa and guacamole! Friendly staff and good prices make this an awesome spot for dine in or takeout.

Love this place but wish they would add some sort of meat alternative (tofu, seitan, Beyond meat etc. to the menu. It would make the burritos so much more interesting for those of us who don't eat much meat. Always fresh though!

"they can just say naan is vegan to sell products. if vegan, I suggest, explicitly say they are lactose intolerant and they can not have any at all. I asked if it was vegan naan, in contrast to other reviews of the older waiter told me they all had milk. in his words, it's just a bit milk as if it weren't important. to show how they can lie, the hand-rolled edamame dumplings are the usual factory made frozen dumplings in most Asian restaurants. not the hand as they claim. I had jackfruit masala, it tasted great. later, I felt a very unpleasant feeling. I never have problems with real vegan Indian food. that makes me wonder when it was ghee in it. the dumplings are deep fried like the flower cabbage, I am not sure if they share a frit with fish and meat."

"We sat in the very rear to the left of the fireplace. Our seats were very hard and cold. We are guests in our eighties and really need more comfortable seats. Is the any way when making a reservation to avoid this spot ?? We have been to the Shanty many times and never were otherwise disappointed."
