"Apparently the history goes back to the Middle Ages, since in an about 600 years old document a guesthouse was mentioned at this place. Since the locality here is called 'Seeb ', somewhat related to the German word for lake and the restaurant itself 'Hecht ' (thus 'hake ' , there must have once been some water and fishing here around. Now it has all been drained. What strikes one first is the attractive and quite big half-timbered house, in which this eating place is located. There is eating inside in a more traditional looking room, then a 'fumoir ' for smokers, then a newer looking hall, probably for special occasion. Great place to have good food at reasonable prices. The wine list is well priced and you can have some of them by the glass.

Place is popular and mostly packed so reservations recommendable. Great in summer on outside tables. Good food with very reasonable prices The lady who runs the place is very down to earth and fast in service.
