"1st time here, we wanted to try something new; more upscale but local. My wife and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. I left a note for the staff and told them ahead of time and they really delivered! Everyone acknowledged our celebration, they had a card from the management and chef with some macaroons.We enjoyed great wine, crisp cocktails and amazing food. I had the beef tenderloin sliders I always go for these if a chef is willing to put them on a menu with great entree dishes. They were stellar, I ordered mine medium rare and they were perfect! Shaved and served with a great sauce and fries. My wife had the salmon and was truly impressed. We finished with the crème brûlée and I have to tell you, it was on point (maybe the best I’ve had). We’ll be coming back, we appreciated the staff going the extra mile to make our special night ever better. It’s a no brained 5 star give it a try! Service level is truly unmatched."

"for the first time ate my family in this facility and when we are there, they have blocked the way with sleep and power washing machines. that was during the lunch break. Once we enter, we sit right away and we order our food. it took ten minutes to bring my wife her lemons for her drink and 10 minutes to get chips and queso. when we dived two chips in our 10 cheese, our food was there. Our waitress never came back and asked if we were in order or whether we need to refill. Now I will say that they have 5 stars on the quantity and quality of the food. Apart from that, there are many other Mexican restorations that I recommend."

"The staff and service were great. The place was clean with a nice casual atmosphere. The brisket and pulled pork were flavorful and moist enough to not need sauce. I'm not a BBQ connoisseur, so that's all I can say about those. The chicken, however, was terribly dry and flavorless. I had to drench it in sauce to make it edible. The cornbread seems overdone, but maybe that's their style. The beans were pretty run-of-the-mill,bland, and just unenjoyable. I've had plenty of canned beans better than that. Disappointed that they were out of mac and cheese.Overall, decent but not great. I may give them another shot. Based on the reviews, they just seem inconsistent. It's like they have no routine to how they cook their food, and they're just guessing every time they do it."

"Everything was AMAZING. From the food, to our waitress. Sierra was our waitress and she was very sweet, attentive, and gave us amazing service. My girl friend and I hadn't been into Taxman in awhile and we got the pretzel and beer cheese for an appetizer and holy cow! SO good and definitely worth the $14. I also had the fish tacos and they were delicious!! The mexican rice was paired perfectly with them and I love that the Blood Orange is back on tap for the time being! It's my favorite. We had a great time. Such a good atmosphere with great food and great service, which made for a perfect sunday! Will definitely be back soon!"

"Great potential. I have already visited Flap Jacks four times and experienced very different food and service every time, although all were in the same place. My first meal was great. I ordered the eggs of Benedict who came with Toast and Hashbrowns. All about the meal was fantastic, from the crisp hashbrowns to the posing eggs on the EB. My second visit was not so great with burned toast and a hard egg instead of a fried egg served on the EB. My third visit included a lunch chicken and noodle special that really added from a can with obviously instantly mashed potatoes with too much liquid. And my visit this Saturday included a new waitress who announced that she has no desire to awaken toast, as my friend ordered it and scrambled eggs with something crispy maybe a bowl piece in it. Flap Jacks was great at this first visit and has so much potential that I am not ready to write it down. But attention to details back in this kitchen is a certain must."
