"I've been here since I was in junior high and even if I'm not in La Crescenta, my family and I'm back every other weekend for Saturday brunch. We sometimes even come to dinner on Sunday evenings! They serve delicious dishes, consistently and with a lot of love, and they feel like a part of the family, especially with the beautiful staff they have on board. And finally, I can confidently say that even with LA's brunch scene near with new hip restaurants, which seems like a monthly basis, Black Cow will always be my favorite spot to eat good food, with family / friends, people / dog watch, and let time pass by as I enjoy."

"Don’t look for love look for Tickle Tree Café. Tickle, tickle, tickle! Ok, let’s start this review. Tickle Tree Café is a small corner all day café that serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches. They’re located at Foothill blvd and Dyer st in La Cresenta-Montrose. Indoor atmosphere was cool and emits a positive chi. It’s less spacious compared to their outdoor patios. I perused their food/drink/coffee menu and it barely tickled my innocent mind. To put it mildly their food/drink selections were limited. I came here on a blazing hot Thursday afternoon and ordered a Tuna Melt with salad and mint Lemonade for lunch. Their Lemonade (20z) was cold and refreshing. Similarly, the Tuna Melt was warm, thick and tasty. It was so good my medulla oblongata was tickled like how a woman tickles her bf. Anyway, I’m neither here or there let’s get back on this review. Salad was fresh. Service was fast and on point. The server guy has an alto voice when he calls your name out LOUD so loud you may hear it across the street. Prices were slightly expensive especially the food but the quality is superb. Free Wifi and parking available albeit very small lot. In this voluminous review, it’s time time to make a conclusion about this café. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and food/drink. Therefore, I highly recommend this lil cute corner café."

"I hesitate to write a great review because I'm worried that the secret will come out. However, a large restaurant deserves to be known and recognized, and so I have to press for one paragraph or two. This restaurant is fantastic! I said it. I hope I do not regret the inevitable future of the impossibility of getting tables when the secret is fully known. Chef David and the menu are spectacular (the roasted Brussel Sprouts can be the biggest discovery for us in 2016. The servers and bartenders are wonderful. Cody is an absolute pleasure. We have dined several times here, the latest culinary experience is New Year's Eve. 24 hours later we still dream of the braided shortribs. Darn... now I'm hungry to take a ride to Montrose..."

"We totally enjoyed the cheese plate!! The BluCheese is good out of control, especially with honey!!! The bearder was great!! He quickly corrected a drink on the fly (because I forgot to ask for a twist!! He did what many restaurants and bars would refuse!! My favorite drink.. a 50/50 Martini.... Half Gin, Half Vodka (with a spin.... Most places would be for 2 drinks... I found a new place for my wife and I'm hanging our hats! We'll get up from here regularly!! This is the place to be!! great service, great drinks (no drinks here soaked!!! , great ambience......"

"Used to have the best portion with lunch specials. Has been at least 1 yr and went for the special. The older lady didn't even know how to use the computer. Or even understand what I was saying, which is fine because it's kind of always been like that. But at least they gave a good portion and the daughter was always so nice. Now currently, the portion is half and the meat doesn't have that nice taste it used to have. The packaging is very different and smaller. It's very sad to see. I will never go back again, because why support a business that cannot be consistent after 10 yrs...........wow"
