"The food was decent, but a few issues pushed our rating down. First, we paid $7 for a side of what appeared to be literally Kraft mac n cheese. I could get six boxes of Kraft Mac n cheese for the same price. The gumbo tasted like the roux might have gone a bit too far and gotten bitter, and although it was pretty bare-bones rice, chicken, and sausage, it was good if a little salty. The real issue is that the photo of the gumbo shows it with shrimp, fried catfish, and toast, none of which came with the gumbo, which was about a cup and a half in the bottom of a styrofoam clamshell container, which I thought was a strange choice for a soup. Delicious. Catfish was hot fresh crispy and seasoned well. Hot crispy seasoned fries. Edible hushpuppies. Everything was good.

the Gumbo Bowl was unlike anything I have ever had. it tasted like lemons. that is not gumbo. threw it away. catfish was good, crab Rangoon was good. boiled food food had little flavor but was cooked well. supposed to have been Cajun seasoning. also no plastic utensils accompanied our order. this was delivered to a hotel mind you. guess you have to ask for it.

The menu photos are misleading. I ordered the gumbo bowl which shows one bowl with catfish, shrimp, and a scoop of gumbo but I received a plate of white rice covered with gumbo. I also ordered a side of potatoes shown covered in cheese and sour cream but came plain with no condiments. I wish I could upload photos of what I actually received. I would not have paid $35 for this had the photos been of the actual items. The 2 pieces of catfish ordered as a side were very good at least.
