"There is something sad about a restaurant where the food is so yummy you want to fall on the ground, but the service is so old school you want to scream from the rooftops. It is not clear to me if the St Pauli girl outfits actually make the staff think they are back in the Middle Ages, but suffice it to say the Bagatelle approach to service is more 1320 than 2020. First, the good stuff: the magnificent Cote de Boeuf (roast beef) with Bearnaise and the delicious foie gras were amazing. The tuna tartare and summer salad got rave reviews from our group. Our hotel in Gstaad recommended this restaurant and booked a table for us. We sat outside and had a beautiful view over the mountains. It’s a great location. However, we did not find the staff particularly friendly or welcoming. The food was good, but not very special, and quite pricey. All in all, we were a bit disappointed.
