"I came here for the first time last night with my mother. I 've been to other Mexican restaurants in the area many times over the years, and while I 've always been satisfied with the food at other establishments, I wanted to give Las Palapas a try as well. Boy am I glad I did! The restaurant has a casual south-of-the-border vibe, and is also festively decorated. There is a bar with seating, and numerous comfortable booths in the dining area. Omg!! What a wonderful family run restaurant. Food was fresh, authentic and tasted great. And to top it off the place was spotless!! Definitely going to be our new go to when in Bangor.

We usually are here on Sundays for lunch. We have our favorite items! As well as our favorite staff, Gabriel! The service and the food is most always 99% awesome and perfect! I’d like to explain the 1%…..sometimes when dealing with non traditional American food, there’s a slight language barrier. When ordering, don’t be afraid to ask them to repeat it for verification. I love this place and we are here nearly every weekend. Sometimes a matter of 2 letters of a word that could be heard on unheard makes a difference. So please be patient and be kind to the staff. After all, you are getting a real , authentic fresh meal! All of you are awesome! We love coming for great food and great company!
