"Our first visit- the food was ok but I expected better for the price. The wait staff tried to be friendly but their attire was something you’d expect from a hot dog stand rather than a supposedly nicer restaurant. With each server wearing whatever, it isn’t a meant as cut on them. The owner apparently allows it. The best thing here was the water. Seriously it was citrus water and I loved it however the paper straws cause me sensory issues. My husband felt rushed due to our server going off duty and despite the server telling him not to feel rushed. We will try them again."

Overpriced for food of this “quality.” The building is beautiful, but I do wish they’d clean it up a bit. Lots of other great places to eat in town. Don’t let the draw of a beautiful old building pull you in. Admire from the sidewalk and move on.

Didn't have items listed on blackboard . Told it was old items and they just never erased it. Took forever to get waited on. They were out of the beer my husband wanted. Didn't get the drink menu. Weren't sure they had all items on menu Very bad experience. ?

Stopped in for a pre dinner drink bar is a cozy little spot (eight stools) and compact as this is mainly a restaurant. We were in early enough there weren't many (if any) people in the restaurant yet. Big wooden bar with a TV above it, and a couple of high top tables in the bar area. Unfortunately, it was early enough that they did not have their upper balcony open. The bartender was engaging and made decent basic cocktails, but the prices were a little steep. We were going to grab an appetizer to go with the drinks, but decided against it due to the price.

"We read great things about this restaurant and wanted to pay a visit. It is located on the second floor of a building near the center of Ligonier. My wife shared a large Greek salad in front of a cup of crab bisque. We both enjoyed very much. Everyone was delicious and fresh and satisfying. Our waitress was polite. The decor was fascinating when it apparently embraced the French Indian period."

"The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, with options ranging from $10–20 per person. Some of my favorite dishes include the Country Steak, Sausage Gravy, Hot Roast Beef, and the Open Faced Turkey Sandwich. The pancakes are also a must-try, especially the Blueberry Pancakes. Other recommended dishes include the Western Omelet, Apple Dumpling, Farmers Omelet with Hash Browns, Hamburger, Vegetable Soup, Fried Chicken, Sausage, Meatloaf, Homemade Bread, Sandwich, Chef's Salad, Roast Beef, Gravy, and Home Fries. Overall, this restaurant comes highly recommended for a delicious and satisfying meal."

"Ordered the Cowboy Filet. The filet was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The cheddar mash potatoes were a good side and very tasty as well... would recommend this entree. One item I was disappointed that wasn't on the menu for desert was the Beignets. I had them at their other location in Murrysville, and they were excellent."

"Went on a Sunday and ordered the Asiago cheese dip, eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and one of their signature burgers. The cheese dip was the tastiest item on the menu. The egg was poached perfectly and the ham had a nice smoky flavor for the eggs Benedict. Hollandaise was a little bland—and yeah, I know Hollandaise tends to be. But I’m just being thorough for those genuinely contemplating ordering this dish. I think I’ve had more flavorful Hollandaise elsewhere. Gravy was on the salty side and seemed kind of sparse for the biscuits and gravy—and this piece of constructive criticism is coming from someone who likes their food seasoned! Too many eating establishments don’t add enough or any salt at all. But this was a lot. I ordered my eggs scrambled for this same dish. Ironically, my complaint is they were completely unseasoned. They kind of did nothing for the dish. However, I did appreciate the herb seasoned biscuits in this dish. They weren’t the standard tasteless lumps of dough most other places dole out. But you could definitely taste the salt too in these biscuits. Look, I know you need salt in a biscuit recipe. All I can think is if they had pulled back on the amount added to either the gravy or biscuits, it would have been a tasty dish. My son ran out of bun for his hamburger before he was able to finish it. I think he said it was just “ok.” The service was awesome and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean. The staff all wore masks the correct way too. And they did pay attention to food presentation. Your food is not just slopped onto your plate like 99.8% of other eating establishments in the area. They take pride in their food. I give them a solid 8 out of 10."

"It was a pleasure meeting the owner yesterday and having one of the best ice creams I've ever had. My belly smiled all night!! Thank you for allowing me to use your institution in my novel of the Ligonier. Well appreciated! Love the shop and the furnishings, and of course photography on the wall!"
