"I love trying unique local restaurants whenever I'm in a new place. Passing through Covington today and was surprised to see a Brazilian cafe nearby in Abita Springs. This cafe is hosted inside a nursery and beautiful garden. It has a very homely feel and the employees are very friendly. After ordering, we walked around and enjoyed the different plants they had around the nursery. The menu has a good selection of appetizers and empanadas if you prefer to order a la carte. On the back there are entrees with your choice of meat. I had a heart of palm empanada, bacon wrapped yucca and a Chicken Rice plate. Holy cow! This place is awesome. Picked up some food to go and ended up eating it all in my car cause I could wait. The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. The chef is hardworking and keeps her kitchen spotless. Fresh squeezed juices available. Cute location. I will be coming back! Good authentic food! The beef was so tender and flavorful. Good home cookin'

Ummm, WOW! We had the crab&merliton and taco pastels with the beet salad w/hearts of palm&tomato. Wonderfully balanced flavors in both the pastels and salad. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the cafe cohabitates with a really cool nursery so if you choose to eat there the environment is lovely. No pictures, sorry I did not want to stop eating my pastel. It was only my first visit, but I will go back

This place is a gem! The people working there are so nice. My friend and I visited this restaurant last month and it was close to closing time. We explained that my friend was from NYC and would be going back the next day. They welcomed us and made us feel comfortable with ordering entrees. Their food is delicious, we enjoyed the tasty moist meat and the yuca wrapped in bacon. The little garden in the back of the restaurant is so beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend this place to anyone around the area.
