"The hostess upon arrival was extremely short and borderline rude considering my large party arrived complete and prompt. Upon being seated our drink order was taken and cocktails arrived roughly 15/20 minutes following, appetizers were along the same pace and lunch entrees to follow. A lunch service of roughly 2 1/2 hours in a to put it lightly stale environment wasn’t ideal for a Saturday afternoon. Old Edwards reputation for elite hospitality missed the mark big time to put it as politely as possible. Won’t be returning."

"When I think of eating out in Highlands, Paoletti 's is ALWAYS at the top of my list. Highlanders know that this is the place to take friends and family and those who are new to the area. Highlands has a terrific blend of high quality restaurants to choose between, but when I run into people who have once been through Highlands, they invariably mention that they ate at that Italian place . Paoletti 's has a fantastic and well varied menu, a terrific and well experienced wait staff, and an energetic ambiance. I have favorites that I order off of the menu (white clam sauce linguine (grilled jumbo sea scallops but the nightly specials (which I do try on occasion challenge those favorites. Also, two favorite appetizers are stuffed dates and stuffed artichoke leaves (not always on the menu, but you can ask for them! . I haven 't been early for the small plates menu, but I plan to try it very soon. My only disappointment is that they are not open for lunch! I will offer one hint if you are booking a reservation on opentable.com ... book well in advance and if you are looking for a reservation in the 7:00 time frame, call the restaurant directly. Do yourself a favor and don 't miss out on Paoletti 's if you are in Highlands."

"Please read this as 20 stars, as all four of us want to give 5 stars! Buckle up bc we have endless big things to say: the food is clearly as fresh as you can get and is of the highest quality of the cook is a genius. The combination of aromas on this menu is different from everything you find, it's total brilliance bless this kitchen and staff for the navigation of our milk and gluten allergies. Everyone was knowledgeable, non-judgmental and accommodating. Please know that this makes the world of a difference for those of us who need to navigate allergies in public spaces easily! Security is conditional and you have made this a safe place for us, and this is invaluable: spoken by invaluable, the manager was only an absolute jewel of a person. She was creepy, real and attentive. It is the kind of person you hope to win the lottery because good things should happen to people like them! the ambience of this place is how we imagine the lost kitchen. This is the lost kitchen of the South! Aka, they have cultivated a place that has its own precious balance of charm, peace and beauty that I wish I have taken more photos that I could share!
