"A May 2022 visit, about 13:45 we arrived. We were told 'we close at 14:00, we said okay and we 're turning around to leave but she said come on in '! I said thank you! Empty we were seated at a nice table by the window looking towards Poinsett. The water menus came and later so did the waiter. Whom I believe to be one of the owners. He asked if we had been here before and we said no he explained 'we 're from California '! 'We have a large garden and grow our own vegetables, etc! ' I asked for a coke and surprisingly he said 'we don 't have carbonated drinks '. I knew my wife was hungry, so no debate I ordered a water, without carbonation. Had never been to Oak Hill Cafe for dinner so decided to give it a try recently. Thought the menu was a bit weird and I consider myself to be a pretty flexible and adventurous diner. What we did order was just OK. Also, the service was poor very slow and not attentive. Won't we coming back.

This was our first time checking out Oak Hill and it was everything we wanted and more. The ambience is super cute with an eclectic farmhouse appeal. The parking was a little challenging but to be expected dining at a quaint spot right off the highway. We made a reservation, which is highly recommended and were immediately seated by a friendly hostess. Our server was so attentive, explained the dishes and ensured we had the best brunch experience. We also had a chance to check out the cute little farm around back. Definitely recommend the flatbread and the empanadas, and the shrimp and grits were so yum and light on a summer day. Worth your while on this gem!
