"I will come back again once I am back to Escanaba. As I came from Florida to visit family. I had the Applewood Grilled cheese for lunch and it was great. I was promptly greeted and waited on by Crissie, she is a rockstar at the restaraunt. It only took a few minutes to get everything. Thanks, definitely recommend. "Dare I say The Stonehouse is the best restaurant in the UP?! Pretty sure the staff would take on the challenge as this place is consistently fantastic! Plus lots of free parking. You may want a reservation on a busy night. Classic cabin style with dark wood in an elegant space with wonderful and prompt service. The menu has a good variety and it's all delicious. The fish selection is outstanding with fresh catches of the day. Probably the best lobster bisque I've had in Michigan. Be sure not to finish all the soup before the fresh bread shows up. A match made in heaven. They have a nice wine selection really good bar staff. They had a housemaid bourbon maple syrup old fashioned last visit, it was wonderful! Serious props to the chefs as it's perfectly cooked every time. The flavors are complex and well thought out with a nice presentation as well. Keep up the amazing work!"

"All I can say is one of the rudest waitresses ever. There were 7 of us only 4 of us made it inside. They were busy. Only 1 table for four. She said we are full, my son said well there are7 of us, well that's even worse!!! I guess she doesn't know how to say, if you would like to wait 15-20 We will have a table for you! No she was just rude!! My son is a manager in Boise of 4 restaurants, he was absolutely pissed at her rudeness, you never treat customers like that!! Needless to say we went down the street to a quaint little restaurant. Wonderful food and waitress. The cook even came out to check on everything! Now that is service! They got our money and tips! My family tips great! We were in town for a family wedding, from the lower peninsula, Idaho, Washington DC. everything else in the town and area was great!"

"We are from Chicago but we stopped in for a second visit to this establishment. The sandwiches and soups are absolutely amazing. Everything is so fresh and delicious! "Served for a late dinner, was welcomed quickly and pleasantly. Super friendly waiting staff, drinks and menus were waiting. Be careful when deciding and paitent. Extra lemon in the water (always beautiful, no tiny slice to fight) The loaded frits for an app to test, they were delicious and well cooked... but PLEASE use better cheese. Looks like Velveeta! (Same cheese on the pulled pork) Cheddar bacon Pulled pork- also got great reviews, guest said, was much damp and tasteful, with a high quality imperial bun. Thick cut bacon. Fish Street Tacos were very tasty and beautifully made. Fresh toppings. House seasoned potato chips were beautifully spiced, very crisp, perfect thickness / diamate."
