"this place found on yelp and had great reviews so we stopped. so glad we did. the food was delicious....and a good portion. update 21. oktober 2022 it has been for 5 years since we are here to find this more or less on a laune. google tells me that the original photos were viewed over 1 million times, so I said I had to come back and visit when I was back in the city. we made dinner tonight. still excellent food and grat service. such friendly people who work there and others enjoy eating and drinking as we were. the food is made to order, and the chef cuts the Gorgonzola sauce for me on the special steak tips and pasta. my sister had the grilled squid, a huge piece of fish, so delicious. we had the seafood appetizer, crabcake, garnel and calamari, which were great, sauces were super delicious! can't say enough about this place. for those who live, I hope they continue to support daniel’s grill, do it right and these small restaurants are so special. thank you again. hope to be back and not wait 5 years!"

"Last time I waste my hard earned dollars here. This place has went way downhill since the original Spanish owners left. Terrible staff. They once again messed up my order, due to the pushy, rude, Karen’s-in-training that work there. I ordered three tacos and received a sloppy mess of ingredients that totaled one taco worth of food. They rush you through ordering and really skimp in the portions. my tacos had very little guacamole or sour cream due to the fact that the girl making them took one little scoop and slapped it in all three. they had barely any lettuce on them and kept saying, ‘is that all’. I said cilantro and she interrupts, ‘anything else?’ And I said ‘nothing.’ She then said, ‘onions?‘ and threw them on all over the tacos before I could say anything. Terrible experience and I won’t be back. the staff there used to be so good, attentive, not pushy, and hooked up the ingredients. $15 dollars for three sloppy tacos and hardly anything in them. And the staff is like this every time I go in there."

"This could be a gem of a place but the night we dined, they were short on waitstaff , the food took a long time to get to our table and then seemed overdone. Unfortunately, it was too cold, otherwise, this looks like the perfect place for sitting outside on the patio with a view of the river, open air and energetic city vibes."

"I went on 10/11. The gentleman that waited on me was great. The food looked very old and dated however. A lot of freezer marks on pans. Old lettuce. Maybe 3 cookies in the whole display and it was 11:50am. The other woman that was working was sick or something and sat at one of the tables and looked awful. Also not sure if Subway has an attire or uniform code but they may wanna check. Will not return."

"It's always a solid meal here. Fish on Fridays would rate 5 stars, blows Doug's away. This visit was not a Friday. One of the most annoying things in a restaurant when you want more water and can not get a server, I even heard one server tell another that at 7pm on weeknights she goes to one carafe. After several minutes, I got the water myself. This action displeased the other waitress."
