"I was impressed with the impeccable attention to detail for COVID-19 protocols. This establishment is in Monterey County, CA. I am considering moving to the area based on how serious the retail establishments take mask mandates seriously!Now, the food! There were four of us and we all ordered something different. I can say the only issue I had is there was too much mass to meat in my tamale. Also the enchiladas were a bit dry and the chicken was in junks instead of being shredded. The flavor in the mike sauce was a bit bland.The customer service was super! Our drinks (water) seemed to be endlessly filled. You know the service is great when you are in the middle of conversations and the water is seamlessly filled without a break in the conversation. Great staff here!"

"PHIL’s FISH MARKET is FUNKY. We had heard about this seafood restaurant between Santa Cruz and Monterey – so we decided to spread it. It's in Moss Landing (can't miss that the city has two big "energy" towers – that would probably never be in the 21st. century so close to the Pacific. We stopped an afternoon to see what the whole hoopla was about. And we had a great old time – our menu consisted of some basics like Steamed Mussels (many of them, New England and Manhattan Clan Chowder and some frits. The joint was funky – easy, friendly, loud, clean and efficient in an unconventional way. Birds fly around, children laugh and walk around and everyone enjoys themselves. It is very easy to get, simple parking, short lines (but we have there shortly before Noon and fast – but not fast food. On our rating scale from “A” to “F”, the Phil’s Fish Market will receive a “B” (probably a “A” should receive. We would definitely return with a group of hungry friends."

"Very nice new place. Everybody's super friendly. Not a huge menu, but enough choices where everyone in a group should find something. The food was delicious and cheap. I had the fish tacos that gave me the opportunity to sample four different fish. Everything was fresh, delicious and well prepared. The Coleslaw was just the best restaurant Coleslaw I ever had. If you eat on the terrace overlooking the Moss Landing Harbor, you will be prepared for fast changing temperatures."

"I love this place. You get a decent sized portion and views overlooking the slough/harbor. Not to mention, the food is usually pretty good. I’ve been 3 times now. My tried and true are the scallops and fries, but for this trip I was feeling a fish taco. Price was great, I actually liked their slaw (which I usually don’t like slaw), and it was hot and fresh. If there’s one thing I would change would be just a bit more flavor in the batter (the fish taco batter! Scallop batter is just dandy)"
