Public House at Jackson's Falls

Lee is an incredible host and even greater chef! The food was delicious (my husband and I ordered seconds of dessert). Paula was our server and she provided excellent food and wine suggestions. Eating at the Public House was definitely a highlight of our trip...to PEC. We will definitely visit again!

The restaurant is incredibly quaint and has charm. Some of the staff are friendly but some act as if they are doing you a favor by being there. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a very good experience there as I found a bug in my salad,...they ran out of water as they use a well, and they weren’t sure if they were still serving several items on their menu. Our server was incredibly kind and didn’t charge us for our meal... very nice! If you are very hungry this is not the place to go as the portions aren’t very big and like the title states the options are very limited. It’s too bad because it could be a fantastic restaurant!!!

My husband and his parents ate here on our first night in PEC and what a delight. The space is a converted one room school house and the walls still have maps and the chalkboard. The service was very personable and friendly and the space...is a great example of Canadiana. The food is influenced by the chef’s Mohawk heritage and her desire to connect people with local products. For instance, instead of Brussel sprouts which were listed on the menu, we had asparagus as it was grown and available locally.
