"I was invited by my company, a quite large group of overseas colleagues for dinner in Raphael Restaurant and Weinbar in Monheim. Unfortunately, I came too late because of the many street works near the restaurant and the lack of obvious parking. I parked on the street a little away. Finding the place on foot was not obvious either. Nevertheless, I took time and had luck. The restaurant is located on the first floor and once found, I have settled and tried to pick up with the first course of the set menu that has already been served. I have dined here with some work colleagues and we had a set menu containing Caesar Salat and Broccoli soup. The food was excellent.

The menu offers a variety of options as I visited this place during the Christmas season, I went for geese! I can just say it was one of the best I had in my life. Beverages as OK (limited offer in terms of beer, but large in terms of wine). The staff is competent, good English... the waiting time is perfect. Desserts are also great. The decoration of the restaurant is a bit erased, but it's OK.

Just tried to eat here but we were told it was too late and they were full. The time was only 20:30 and there was plenty of space! In fact the waiter even said the kitchen stopped working at 21:00. There were at least 20 tables unused but apparently we should have booked. We've gone next door to Zum Vater Rhein where they were quite happy to serve us. Needless to say we won't be returning to Raphael's!
