"We decided to try the restaurant as we were staying in the hotel. What a mistake. From the minute we arrived the waitress was brusque and unpleasant. This turned to rudeness when we tried to order and were told half the menu was not available. A table of four sitting next to us clearly had the same experience and decided to leave. We followed suit. Something is very wrong with the management of this restaurant when two groups can leave, dissatisfied, in one evening. For what it’s worth, the outside seating is charming but the inside dining room is hideously kitsch and gloomily depressing."

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Altkolnischer Hof, sitting outside on a warm summer’s evening, eating delicious food in such a pretty location. You won’t be disappointed with a meal here!

We ate in this restaurant two evenings in a row. Both times, the service and food were good. We didn’t like either the red or white wine they recommended, which is unusual for us. Take time to select the right wine. The schnitzel was delicious.
