Restaurant Entenstuben

Service level is simply not acceptable for a Michelin started restaurant. There is only one fixed menu (website shows two); I indicate that I don’t eat cheese: I arrive and waiter tells me: “you’ve booked just three hours before, we cannot make magic”. Unfassbar. Then “magic” happens: they exchange fresh cheese with yogurt. Wow. Wine list constantly forgotten, wine arrive finally after the first appetiser; waiter cannot dose the quantity of wine in the glasses, wine becomes warm; I ask for a glacette, I get one with just water inside. We visited this restaurant in December The restaurant offered a single set menu based upon seven courses, though with ability to cut the order back to fewer courses. I had not appreciated that we were going into a set menu environment and not eating...fish, seafood or duck seemed at first instance to be a problem. This was not so. The menu was adapted for me. We generally do not go in for more than three courses. Again, a bit of worry? In reality, the seven courses were extended by multiple 'amuse bouches'. The portions were appropriate and amazing. You don't have to understand everything you want. I thought when I left the restaurant in the quiet residential street on the outskirts of Nuremberg. From the main train station about 15 to 20 minutes walk through a park that surprises me with a beaver reserve. There may be three stations with the road. From a friendly young man already at the door and to facilitate my wardrobe, I took very positive note of the renovated room design.
