"At the suggestion of a friend, I came to Ris for the meatloaf dinner, which they only serve on Mondays (if there are leftovers, they'll add it to the Tuesday lunch menu). The food was lovely, the service warm and friendly, from everyone who helped us. It’s nice to see a place firing on all pistons after being around for 13 years.

My wife and I ate at Ris this past week for our weekly Thursday date night, having returned after a long delay. The food was excellent; one of the best meals we 've had in DC. this year. Service was quite slow, however, possibly as a result of several large tables. I do hope that Ris takes a pause at some point to update/refresh the restaurant as the wallpaper, carpet and bathrooms are clearly showing their age.
