"Our group of three didn 't feel welcomed at all originally, but she came around. As native of Houma relatively close to Morgan City, I DO NOT recommend the Chicken Sausage gumbo. The chicken is unseasoned drumettes, there is NO browned flavor, and there 's diced tomatoes in it. The flavor gives beef broth and tomato. The potato salad is runny and sweet. The burger was just ok. Water is unfiltered tap or Dasani. The reviews were misleading... Maybe my expectations were way too high, comparing to other mom and pop diners"

The best home-cooking in Morgan City, Louisiana. If you visit any restaurants, make sure it's Rita Mae's Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

Try the CRAB CAKE! Soooo good!! I have tried food in so many restaurants but this chicken sausage and shrimp gumbo was delicious! The Crab Patty was soooo good, it was nicely battered, crispy and the crab tasted so fresh. I would recommend the crab cake!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
