"We both had the blue cheese fondue and the grilled rib eye steak. The service and food were excellent. We took half of our dinners home because the portions were very generous. I think the atmosphere could be a little more appealing. The lighting is a little too bright over the tables for my taste. The dining area looks like a big open barn."

I'd like to see a better outdoor seating area, but it was nice they had at least 2 picnic tables under cover next to a nice park. there's opportunity to do a better alfresco dining area there great food, friendly service, I'd go back anytime!

5 star experience. enjoy them mush app, a special entree and cure them from the menu. bar, ambiente, all fantastic. we had a reservation. immediately sat. couple before they leave without reservations. make reservations. they will not regret it.

"If I could give a non-vegetarian restaurant 5 stars, I would. I appreciate their options in a community that likely would not sustain a vegetarian restaurant. We had lunch at Roots today. My husband ordered the black bean sandwich (comes with cheddar cheese which could be removed) and I ordered the tofu sandwich (which comes with aioli which can be removed substituted). The staff was very courteous and accommodated our requests for changes even suggesting some substitutions. Both meals were very tasty. My husband ordered fries as a side and I ordered a quinoa salad which was amazing! The atmosphere was conducive to conversation and table sizes not cramped. Our meals cost $25."

"The restaurant is very graceful (if your A/C was on). I had a delicious oven baked corn bread with maple butter, really stellar! For my meal I went with the roasted chicken and garlic lubricated. Although the chicken did not come out in a good attempt for me, my waitress faced the problem and it was a very tasty meal. I guess they're known for their Rotisserie chicken roasted over a wooden fire. Usually with food temp problems you would never see me again, in this case the flavors will withdraw me again!!"

"Very nice little pub in Rutland. Stops from enroute to Killington for a quick bite. Our server Kazandra was super and very attentive. We ordered the Rutland Ricotta pizza with kalamata olives and that was delicious. Her wings and spinach artichokes were also delicious. It came out quickly and her beers were good. They had a little of everything from blondes, IPAs, stouts, sours, porters, etc."

"Took my 2 year-old grandson for lunch and they couldn't have been more accommodating to his needs. He loved the miso soup and mastered the children's chopsticks in no time! The chicken Teriyaki was a perfect meal for my grandson and he actually ate his BROCCOLI!! I had a fabulous roll and truly enjoyed our whole dining experience!! Can't wait to go back!!"

"We used to go here for date nights. It’s not always perfect and I thought about giving a four-star review, but there’s no 4-and-3/4 rating. I love this place and its Italian feel. I grew up in Connecticut in an Italian neighborhood and the Palms would fit right in. The food is generally excellent, though, like I said, not always perfect. Here’s why I give it five stars: it’s one of the restaurants I miss in Rutland. I no longer live close to Rutland but it’s almost worth the two-hour drive each way. It’s a very solid spot and I think you’ll generally enjoy it. The pizza is always top-notch."
