"I would like to give 4 stars but I’ll explain what it is 3. We had a family lunch in a busy Sunday afternoon. Table of 7. We ordered several dishes, and 6 pitchers of sangria. The service needs some attention. Our sever was friendly but not attentive. We often couldn’t find her so we had to ask 3 other servers walking around for food, water, napkins, etc. the food was almost perfect. All meat was cooked properly and seasoned well. The only issue was the ceviche which lacked acidity and salt. It was bland, tasted like absolutely nothing. I would still recommend Selva Negra for Greta meats and sides, just don’t order ceviche."

Everything was DELICIOUS! The service was GREAT! My daughter wanted mussels but they only had fresh. So my husband asked the waiter if they were able to steam it, and the cooks did it!! It was also her birthday so they put the happy birthday song and brought out a special desert for her. Best place to eat and family. If you could leave more than 5 stars, I would leave it. I'm going to start with the owner Marisol her attention is unique and no way from the manager who is Venezuelan but he seems more Nicaraguan the attention that that boy gives my mom and my family we know him since I was a child my mom follows him where he goes to work because for us he is family it is a pride to see him always he has seen my 3 children grow Deserve more than 5 stars is a pride Latino restaurant

Great service and live music make this a place to go to. The food was not entirely what I was expecting. I was looking for a taste of my grandma’s cooking, but it wasn’t there. The Gallopinto (rice&beans) may have been either overcooked, or dried because it was old or had been sitting for too long in a heat lamp; or reseated in the microwave. The Carne Asada (fried meat) was dry and under seasoned. The plátanos fritos (fried plantains) are awesome, but the maduros (ripped fried plantains) lacked; probably cooked in a deep frier for fries.
