"We wanted to try Steph’s during the Kumquat Festival. While they were very busy, we didn't feel rushed, but were treated with a kind greeting and had several staff at the table to make sure everything was good. We had both fried chicken, potatoes and chicken dumplings. Everything was just fantastic. There are several other ducks that looked good, including ribs, meat leaflets, pork and fish. Can't wait to go back and try one of them. We were just too full to have desert. Next time we will park in the restaurant so we can reach the desert. Your saying: “It’s what it is” is quite right. It is only great southern style cooking and hospitality."

Absolutely the best authentic South Food in Florida! This is our favorite place to eat and it is worth the ride from Bradenton. Her fried chicken is cooked for perfection and the sides are fabulous. We love you Stephs!!

We found this place through Yelp and thought we'd try. It deserves more than five stars. It's not nice, but it's delicious. Don't pass through the banana pudding. The Squash-Casserole is also a must. Honestly, everything I ate was delicious. I was there for dinner and bought a vegetable plate for lunch the next day because there were no remains.

Our first time there. Charlie Belcher's live review. I really liked the cafeteria style, where I could see my food instead of ordering from a menu, just be surprised. The smashed steak was so delicious, the macaroni and cheese was beautiful and cheesy, and the squash casrole was fantastic. My meal came with bread and a drink for less than $8. We will definitely return and get either catfish or pig dogs.
