"A friend that grew up in Fort Dodge often talks about how good Tico Taco is, so I gave it a try. The restaurant is a bit dated but appeared to be clean and fairly well maintained. I apparently inconvenienced the lady taking my order by asking what all comes on a taco. After she answered I ordered two tacos without tomatoes. This was followed up by a gruffy anything else? . From her demeanor, I was expecting to see that I was holding up the line, but there was nobody behind me. The food was made quickly. I was a bit surprised that it was the same as or lower quality and taste of Taco Johns. I left questioning my friend 's memories of the place. And wondering why I didn 't just stop at the ta...

Much better than fast food. Nice, fresh, greasy food. Very tasty! If that's what you're into, you'll like it! Only been there a few times, but I've been happy with every visit.

I grew up in Indiana and we had one nearby that we ate at weekly. I had no idea that they even still existed. The deluxe taco and the crisps were just as I remembered them after all these years. Fast friendly service at the drive thru.

Dingy, dirty dining area with no room to wait for to-go orders. (Seriously, the 1990s decor is more embarrassing to witness each time I drive by. Food is as dreadful and tasteless as the staff is incompetent. As for the staff: no sense of urgency and no apology when food arrives late and/or out of chronological order. The way so many locals love this place makes me hesitant on interacting too often with those locals. Yikes.
