We did not get the service we want, we have requested to transfer to a booth, they said booth are reserve yet they don’t have reservations.. and there’s plenty of empty chairs and tables and there’s no line.. it’s unpleasant way of welcoming a customer. We moved to the next restaurant TGIF.. I hope they get this figured out.. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience.My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments.While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature.The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff.On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."

"Keeping for a quick lunch on our anniversary and what a surprising pleasure in great food and customer service. We ordered street maisfries, wings, corn dogs and a southwestern fried chicken salad and all tasted great. We will definitely come back to a feast. They even treated us with garlic chips as welcome to eat here for the first time."

"This is my first review on any food place in a LONG time because honestly too lazy to write a review. BUUUT this place was awesome. Our waiter Pedro was on top of it. Very attentive, we never had an empty glass. He recommended excellent drinks was very thorough with explaining some menu items since it was our first time. my husband had the al pastor tacos and i had the la burger and it was delicious. We shared both and both were beyond expectation. Very flavorful. The environment was nice with dim lighting and good music. It was a great date night. Im excited for our next visit."

"This place has me HOOKED. I kid you not these are THE BEST WINGS I HAVE EVER HAD. These wings are covered in crack and they are so addicting. I don't remember the name of the flavor but YOU NEED TO ORDER THEIR SPECIAL FLAVOR. These wings literally got me oozing ranch out the sides of my mouth. Aside from my favorite dish if it weren't obvious, everything else was suppper good. The cheese bread was okay and was slightly on the more underdone side. I recommend ordering the mahi mahi plate because they season their fish to perfection. Me and my friends were celebrating our friends 21st and we all ordered our own margarita and they are HUGEEEE!!!! I recommend the mango one if you like it strong and the watermelon if you like it more on the sweeter side. Definitely coming back for the scrumptious wings. Never going back to wingstop after eating here."
