"Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed our experience here but will say the service was actually a little too keen. I felt rushed and considering the restaurant was half full it wasn't like they needed to turn our table. No sooner had the last bite been put in the mouth, the staff were wanting to take away our plates on an individual basis. Overall enjoyed our visit, food was great and the staff very friendly, next time would like to not feel so rushed. Hope this place makes it"

The food was very good and there were so many menu choices that everyone can find something they like. The fried okra was especially tasty and was not greasy. The restaurant is roomy and you are not sitting so close to another table that you can't hear. The booths are roomy and the service was attentive but not pushy.

This was our first visit to Texas Scratch Kitchen and we will be back. I had a burger, a friend had a chicken fried steak and one of our wives had a meatloaf (Angus beef) and the other, salmon. All the entrees were excellent. From our menu choices, you can tell we were in the mood for comfort food and the offerings did not disappoint. All in all, a reasonable value with good food presented in a conversation-enabling venue.
