"The food was good. Not great.I make a mean yellow curry chicken at home, my kids agreed was just as good as home vs Alchemists.....made for less. The service is never knowing.....sometimes great, sometimes so terrible I don't get why we keep coming back. I've been a waitress, I get getting stressed ....but 5 tables or less and you don't touch down to check on us for 20 minutes or more, we were wanting to buy more ...we decided, no thanks. Rather go to Umis. Get it together guys!"

Great service, nice patio off the bar and alongside the street. The food was ok -my son’s butter chicken (done with a Thai red curry?!? was decent. I sent back my duck pasta since it was dry and devoid of flavor. They replaced it (quickly -kudos for that with the skirt steak which was way under salted and just kind of uninteresting. No veg at all with the mains.

We only had time for drinks but what a great time! Sitting at the bar we were able to enjoy watching all the beautiful creative drinks being crafted while bartender Jessica entertained us with explanations of the drinks and fun conversation. Also, the greeters at the door were charming and made you want to go in. Wish we had time to explore the interesting food menu.

Food was beautifully presented but every single dish was underwhelming and flavorless. The $70 Wagyu was tough, rubbery, and bland. The pork chop came out with a few pieces still bright red and undercooked. The prawns and corn were the same way. Deviled eggs were pretty good.Overall we were extremely disappointed and would not waste your time coming here with so many other delicious restaurant’s in town

"I 've been to this restaurant three or four times, each visit when I was passing through the area. Some of the food here is pretty good, and it 's one of the few restaurants in the area that I know of where you can get anything vegetarian. I like that you can get tofu here and the food quality is generally good. It 's a nice location and a nice looking restaurant. HOWEVER, please note that many of the things labeled vegetarian are not truly vegetarian because they contain fish sauce. For example, on a recent visit (Sept 2011), we were informed that the tofu satay appetizer and the tom kah soup can 't be made without fish sauce, even through the menu says that both can be made vegetarian. We had already ordered these and only found out when we asked if the pad thai (which didn 't specify vegetarian on the menu) had fish sauce (it did). When we then said we didn 't want the soup and appetizer we ordered, the server acted inconvenienced and lectured us a bit... I think the encounter was more indicative of the individual than of the restaurant, so I won 't get into the details (we had great service on other visits), but the real moral of the story is: Always ask whether something has fish sauce here before you order it (if you are vegetarian and that sort of thing is important to you), even if it 's labeled vegetarian on the menu. Unfortunately, the truly vegetarian options here become much more limited in this process, but there are still several good choices."
