"Took my wife for her birthday for dinner last night. We are both from Cincinnati so have ate in the original location in OTR so we know what to expect. Unfortunately the fried chicken was cold and tasted of old oil. All of the sides that came out were delicious. I think it may have just been an off night for the chicken. We'll try again sometime and hope for better results. I know the eagle in Cincinnati got some of the best fried chicken I ever ate."

eating was amazing as usual, it was a little loud because of the music that played. but we still enjoyed our time at the eagle.

loves everything about this place from personal to eating. we're coming back. one of the best new restaurants in charlotte, imo!

One of the best chicken sandwiches in Charlotte. Menu is reasonably priced except for the sides/appetizers. We went for our anniversary, and our waiter brought us free champagne to celebrate with which was very thoughtful. I've been to the Eagle now several times in 2 different locations and will keep going back.

"We have visited this restaurant many times and the food has always been exceptional. However, yesterday we were disappointed to find that the quality of the food was not up to par. It was not fresh. We have always loved this place, but this experience may be our last visit."

"I celebrated my birthday at Carolinas oyster bar last night. The hostess advised a table for two wait time was about an hour. I said okay, she responded back do you want to be added to the wait list? I said okay. She said she didn’t know if I wanted to wait! As we waited we had drinks at the bar, the bartender made a strawberry lemon drop, the best! Calamari and oysters for appetizers. I also ordered a lobster and shrimp roll! It was so delicious second bite I had three pieces of a lobster shell! Anthony was our waiter, I called him over he was in shock and said let me get my manager. Manager came over, I showed him the three pieces of the shell. He said that’s a possibility when they take the lobster out of the shell. No apology was provided, no offer to compensate the experience I had. I didn’t request a manager the waiter thought his manager would resolve the matter. Even though the manager offered to get me something else. I was nervous to get another meal especially when I run a risk for this to happen again. He said happy birthday enjoy your night. The managers response lacked empathy, poor customer service, I don’t care you will not be the first or last customer that this will happen to. In the back of my mind I wondered if I was a different race besides black would his response be the same?! The food was a ten even though I wasn’t able to eat and enjoy the lobster roll."

"As always, the food, ambiance, and serve was outstanding. McNinch House is the only restaurant in Charlotte where you can carry on a conversation across the table without raising your voice. Most others require shouting until your voice is hoarse. It is an elegant experience served by delightful people. Will return again soon."
