"I have actually been eating here since they opened. South fork resident for 40 years . And SI visitor in my youth. I was a bit shocked at 19 kids chicken fingers ‘and 44 for a bowl of Bolognese. We all split something but still thought a little . However fabulous food and services and great ice cream for kids!!"

Service was abominable. Very slow took 2 hrs for 2. Courses. Didn’t stay for dessert.

Food was excellent but pricey, on par with other Hamptons restaurants. The relaxed but professional service was excellent. The pace of the meal was perfect and we were never rushed. I should have requested an outside table but we’ll save that for the next visit

Overall the food was good but nothing to write home about. Pricey too. I was not impressed. I had the rigatoni bolognese since I saw many reviews about it. It was good but not great. The arugula and beet salad was nice and my husband enjoyed the spicy tuna tacos to start.

"I wish there were six stars with which to rate this restaurant. Nothing on the east end of Long Island compares to it for quality of food. It's like Stone Creek when they were just getting a name for themselves. The building is modest but mostly hand built and creative and cool. The staff are talented, devoted, hard working, proud, and yet quiet and modest. So secluded and hard to get to, being out on Shelter Island, but those who let small obstacles get in the way miss out on a lot. But there are real pros behind the scenes and they are putting it all out there. Start with the houses's Petite Chablis, awesome. Then run, dont walk to the Tuna tartar tacos. There is a franchise just in those tacos alone. The shells are like nothing you have ever tasted. Then order the calamari salad. I never get calamari, but this is a gem. Then, the entrees are everything you could ask for. Take your choice. Nice people, great craft, bon apatite. You can go to the overpriced, mediocre, pretentious, place in town, or you can drive to the Shelter Island ferry and explore cooking as an art and a craft. We live in Westhampton and this is our new favorite place."

"what a great place to get out! diverse menu, we had several different meal times from the menu and all were very fresh delicious, including the guacamole, pico and fries, friendly service. in any case, our newer way, whenever we are on the island!"

"Overall a great place to stay in Greenport, but a bit pricey for what you get. Nice boutique hotel. Non-standard layout. Lobby looks like a storefront and rooms are not connected. Rooms are above other storefronts on main street with private entrances. Parking is tough. Only street parking and not even a place to unload without double parking. Staff was pleasant and very accommodating. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning in a picnic basket. Bagels, fruit, juice and hot coffee. Rooms were decorated nice and spacious enough for an old building. Expect LOTS of noise till 2-3 in the morning though. Bars downstairs and the sound is not subtle."

"in teig rolled our little high time in november at lieb cellars. unfortunately, these fine people were cloged in the rain that corresponded to what could only be described as monsun; she didn't stop pumping out incredible pizza with a smile on her face all the time. they were easy to treat, reasonable price, and just have a nice anesthesia at our high time. thanks for helping to make our day a great one."

"my wife and I loved our experience in 18 bay. jimmy, the general manager, greeted us when we first came in and asked us to choose an open table that was perfect for us. I decided to buy a special occasion to buy a pair of weeping that was a bit expensive, but wanted to impress my wife. she loves to taste different weeping. jimmy shaked every glass and came to the table to give us a small story of every bottle. he was very knowledgeable and always offered to give her another wee if she did not like the one he chose for her. the food was very tasty and satisfying. the service was excellent and the ambiente perfect. overall the night was fantastic. many thanks, jimmy and the 18 bay team"
