"Being on the road the greater part of the year I enjoy going with friends in Zurich to restaurants of the kind Swiss restaurants used to be in the old days. These are in the minority by now and thus for me the most 'exotic ' eating places back home. In this category I would also put the 'Weisses Kreuz ' opposite Stadelhofen railway station, where one can admire early architecture by Santiago Calatrava. This restaurant must not be confounded with the restaurant 'Zum Weissen Kreuz ' a bit further up towards the old town. There are most of the classical Swiss menus available here, but also some, which can be considered as traditional 'International Swiss classical menus ' like Hungarian Gulash...

Service and food rather poor. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it. The food was floating in oil, the meat broth was like water, no taste.

Really enjoyed lunch here in a typical Swiss pub with great food, the bratwurst and rosti was excellent. very popular and full of locals, good service.

A very nice old school traditional place. Time stands still there in a good sense, obviously. I recommend a Mittagsmenu, it's tasty and it's affordable
