"I'm hesitant to write this review because I do genuinely love this place. The waterfront location and laid back vibes are great, albeit a chain restaurant. However, my wife and I dined here over the weekend and the food was terrible. We ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees and hardly anything was edible. Over-salted and out of date. For $40/person, there are much better options in Guntersville. On a positive note, our service was great!"

I hate to say too many good things about this place, but it has the best value and fresh oysters in North Alabama!

When I finally got to eat the food was good! The waitress was alright but she thought it was ok to kiss my husbands and my 8 month old son on his forehead!

Food was wonderful, only wish I could have finished it. Our waiter found that we had left a cell phone on the table and got it back to us before we got the car unlocked. Great service.

"Our experience in this facility was excellent. We found the atmosphere warm and welcoming. This dining place kept Antebellum charm combined with real fine restaurants. It is an experience that is everything itself. I could not recommend this facility with higher praise or respect. The Rock House houses a relaxed atmosphere, but creates culinary genius. "Our party of 3 recently ate here and had an excellent experience. We've moved from the DC area; Old Town Stock House is the best, most gourmet restaurant in the NoAL region that we have found since moving here 2.5 years ago. I can address some of the negative comments Yes, the prices are significantly higher than some of the other local establishments but they are absolutely reflective of the superior menu, ingredients, and creativity/flavor profiles. You get what you pay for. So, if you'd rather go pay $15 for fried catfish and okra, then go do that? Fried catfish is delicious. But if you want a more elevated experience, then Old Town Stock House is your best bet Vegetarian/Vegan options are available but do let them know when you make your reservation as they'll need time to prepare The note about substitutions is very polite and pretty standard on specially curated menus. Consider reading the menu beforehand if you are very picky or have a strong aversion to vegetables I had one of the specialty cocktails and it was excellent. I highly recommend the Dapper Dan."

"okay for atmosphere, definitiw a victor! I loved the hole in the wall vibe with which they ran totally. I was super excited to go here because we heard that the seafood was amazing and typically on places like this. I will also say the service was incredible! the ladies we interacted with were so sweet and went beyond and beyond for us. I have the cocos yarn, cajun mais and hush weep. when I have lived in Georgia and florida, I am very familiar with these articles. the cocos yarn hardly tasted like cocosnuss, the bath seemed to have more cocoss than the garnel themselves, the texture of the actual garnels was strange. the teig was beautiful and crispy. the hush puppies were ok, the center tasted as if it had been frozen too long and then cooked, but the outer was beautiful and crispy. I'm not sure what cajun was about the mais. I had cajun mais many places and this one had no flavor, no taste, literally only tasted like cooked mais. that was a rather great disappointment, because if they hear aboutjun, they want these mighty aromes. also the rest of the fam was disappointed. I will say the okra was good, and the snow baskets were decent. cocktails the worst margarita I ever had in my life. the amount of tequila was perfect, but whatever mixer she was using was blegh. I saw how to make an old fashion and that was rough. I don't think whoever worked the bar, knew how to make cocktails. And not that this place is known for his cocktails, but I feel like margaritas and an old fashion is quite basic. only a fast Google search leads to some simple but tasteful recipes. I swapped myself to a coco, just because I didn't want to taste any more drinks. if you go here, maybe you're stuck with a beer or a soda. do they regret it? absolutely not! the live music and the atmosphere were the Alabaman thing we did all week. I wish I had eaten and the drinks had lived to the hype."

"I really enjoyed the food tonight. I had the #5 creole boiled shrimp and #2 fried catfish filet off the combo platter. My fiancé had the Riverboat special. Even though it was crowded the service was excellent and the food came out fast. FYI the #5 shrimp is served cold. The waitress did warn me, but I liked it. The one thing I really liked was the large drink glasses. You will not go thirsty. They started you with cornbread, coleslaw, and pickled onions. These came out as a standard staple. The only negative thing I have to say was our table. The table was clean it is just older and has a sticky/tacky feeling. My fiancé has OCD and really didn't like the feeling of the table. I do like to keep these reviews honest of my personal experience. Overall I will definitely go back."
