"Ok im not one to write reviews. But I was having a good time with my friend at 830 I asked if they were closing because the server seemed she wanted to leave. I asked her and she was unclear of time closing. The guy came out and said they close at 10. So I let it go. I asked to be served another drink at 9. And she refused me a drink because they were closing. I said you close at 10. She still said because they are slow she is not serving . I'm a big tipper and know the restraunt industry and she was very selfish because she did not want to work and the business lost money. It was not janel she was the best server.... it was the bigger blonde. Didn't get her name. All night she was unpleasant and gave an evil eye. So she gets no star. And should not be working at a place I love. If you had a bad day get over yourself!!!!!! Some people need a good light hearted night without a person like you ruining it!!!!. And ruiniing an amazing restraunt. Sat Oct 7th. It is sat night not a week night!!!!!!!"

"My favorite. My wife and I make this a destination and drive up from Manitou Springs. No tipping allowed, not asked, no way to do it (guess you could throw cash on the floor...they say it would go to a charity. I find that so refreshing. Pay when you leave, tap and go or cc or cash. Their own wood fired pizza and wings. You can also bring your own food or pro tip...bring utensils and do door dash. Some live entertainment. Inside and out seating."

"This was my first time at The Union for Dinner. Our Reservation was for 6:45pm. We arrived at 6:40pm and were seated immediately. Our Server was Mark, he was amazing, greeted us immediately upon sitting down and provided a great experience with exceptional service. We ordered appetizers and main courses, Mark spaced them out perfectly and we had a very satisfying experience. Appetizers and all four meals were outstanding. I would highly recommend The Union if you want good food and great service."

"So sad... this place went downhill. Or maybe eating at 3:30pm is not smart? We 've been coming here forever. The food has always been great. Today I dined by myself, ordered an Impossible Burger, and it was terrible. The bun was lifeless, the lettuce was wilted, and the patty was dry. The fries were great (hence 2 stars. My server never brought my water, so the food runner helped out. My server called me love and babe repeatedly, which is a huge annoyance. Sad... we won 't be returning."

"I've been going to Castle Cafe for quite a few years have never been disappointed with anything. The building is historic thank goodness they've maintained its original character. I'm not a fish eater, so I can't comment there. But the buffalo meatloaf, chicken fried chicken chicken fried steak are as good as it gets in Colorado. The soups are homemade (like everything else) are on spot the cream of asparagus is the best I've had, ever. But the real reason to go here is for the pan fried chicken. OMG, my mouth waters just typing pan fried chicken. I swear it's just like my grandma made in her well seasoned cast iron skillet. Oh so crispy on the outside, oh so moist on the inside. There's a fair number of elderly folks that come here with families etc., so they are a bit light on seasoning, but nothing a dash of salt pepper doesn't fix. The pan fried chicken isn't cooked ahead of time stuck under a heat lamp, so if you're not willing to wait the 30 minutes it takes to cook, go to KFC. The mashed potatoes are lumpy with skin on, just the way they should be. If you like mashed potatoes made of flakes from a box, go to Denny's. Homemade Parker rolls are served in a basket covered with a red white cloth napkin just like grandma did. Drenching them with the boat of cracklin' gravy is almost a meal in itself. Ohhh the cracklin' gravy, if I could get away with just guzzlin' a boat or two, I'd die happy be off to clogged artery heaven yes, it's that good! And the service it's like eating at someone's house with family serving you. They are a great group that try their darndest to make your visit a good one. So, if you like good ol' down home homemade cooking, have just a little patience to wait for good food to be prepared after you've ordered it, go to Castle Cafe. If you're an impatient whiny butt sniffler, stay the heck out of my town go eat hummus in LoDo."
