"General Our 48. It was an anniversary. So for dinner. After the many celebrations since Christmas, the Roma should be in waterless again. We haven't been there since August 2015. There were no reasons for this, we didn't have the restaurant on the screen anymore. Ristorante Roma is located on the passage in the Alzenauer district Waterless right next to the church, not far from the hospital, has its own parking in the yard and directly opposite the entrance in a parking bay on the street. The open website of the restaurant allows you to find out about Vorfeld. Since 1989, the Roma have been led by the three brothers Di Benedetto. Vittorio and Igino are responsible for the service while Fulvio takes care of the kitchen. In the meantime, they already have the retirement age shortly before them or even after them. In any case, their work is still funny for them, and they do not think of stopping. Operation At 6:00 we entered the Ristorante without reservation. We were kindly greeted by the service and got two tables. From this place we had a nice overview of the whole restaurant. After we had taken place, it did not take long, and the menus where the drinking card was also found were served and the candle was illuminated on the table. After we had studied the card correctly and the pages laminated in the leather cover were folded, the service manager came to the table and asked our wishes. First came the drinks requests. Sweetheart chose a Montepulciano from Abruzzo (0.25 l, 5, € ), while I prefer a Chardonnay (7, €). Both wines were served in a carafe and presented at the table half in the matching glasses. When the glasses were empty, they were refilled by the attentive service. The respective tempering of the beverages was suitable. Unexpected, objective, quiet and very friendly, the service comes well with us. The necessary distance, but also the emotional proximity to the guest is in line here. You notice the many years of experience in the field of gastronomy. Wishing a good appetite and asking if everything tastes and is okay, is naturally seen here. The guest is in the foreground. The opening made a greeting from the kitchen. In a basket 4 small Ciabatta rolls. Homemade herbal butter in a small porcelain pot. The butter nicely cool, but not too hard, you can take it out well with the knife and put on the rolls. Very good taste. Afterwards we enjoyed the excellent homemade Crema Pomodoro (4.50 €). Nice hot steam and great taste. But the steam ensured that my photo blurred. Crema di Pomodori There are fresh fish outside the normal menu daily. The fish dish of the day was an Orata alla Griglia, i.e. grilled Dorade (18,50). Spaghetti al Olio were served separately on a plate. And I could decide exactly for this court. The Dorade was nicely cut on the plate, looked nicely grilled and appetite. It was so during consumption. Hit the point. However, I had to fight with hidden graves, which is ultimately not worth talking. Grilled Dorade For spaghetti there was no place on my plate that I had eaten directly from the next dish. Usually al Dente and also with a certain sharpness and divinity not with too much oil. I got tired, it tasted very good. Spaghetti to Dorade Treasure ordered the grilled salmon, Salmone Griglia (16.50 €). This salmon was served in the form of a salmon steak with salt potatoes. She had imagined the salmon differently. He was able to convince tastefully and visually. She also made an empty record happy. With many fingerprints all existing bones were found. The goose was added a small plate. Today it was also a dessert. All right, Panna Cotta for the lady, Pannacotta Zabaione for the gentlemen. Zabaion place I have to say honestly, I don't have to have the Zabaione again. It's not my taste. At the end we had two Espressi (2nd €) and they could not have been better. That's what the Italians have. Traditionally, one of the service brothers provided for a delicious bean, as desired, it pours the sugar from about 1 m away and from above from the wrist with the sugar spreader into the bag. In the category (lightly increases Italy without a cube taste in which the Ristorante Roma should be classified from my point of view, I give full points for our yesterday's meals. The ambience Inside you sit comfortably on padded chairs or on the wall side on benches. The furniture makes a good impression with its dark wood. A pleasant, cozy stay is safe. A Mediterranean flair is given by painting and decoration on the walls. Locker also for a dinner for two. All flats, therefore also suitable for Gehandicapte. Cleanliness You don't have to lose words about cleanliness. She's impeccable in my eyes. This also applies to the toilets. Conclusion: For the Roma there is an unrestricted recommendation from me. "At the end of September it was time for me to choose a place for treasures and the annual sound. Unfortunately it came from the usual suspects who were on my list only due to cancellations. Somehow, the Hotel Krone came to my mind in the Alzenauer district without water. Is not far away, has a good reputation and this year was more often praised by my acquaintance. Go to the phone to get two seats for the change of the year. On their website, I had read that a traditional exotic and regional New Year's Eve buffet is offered for New Year's Eve. The very charming lady on the phone also offered me that is already booked. She could put us on a 4th table. She should call the couple again if they were right. Ten minutes later, I got the answer that's okay. Because I'm communicative, I said. So the New Year was tied up. The service On the day before New Year's Eve we were called and kindly asked if we were coming. Of course we're coming! You would ask for all reservations again. The buffet starts at 6:00. The end is provided for 23 o'clock. We drove home in time to get a proper parking place, because the court of the crown is not exactly large and the cheeses outside very narrow. A quarter of an hour ago we were on site and were able to lock our SUV into the courtyard of the house. We were welcomed by a young lady. After our name, she led us to the restaurant with our name tag to a 2 table. So we could lay a table for both of us. She helped treasures from her coat and put them on the closet. I used this to take some quick photos from the inside. When she came, she offered us a picture of treasure and me at the festively covered table. We liked to accept that. So gradually the room filled with guests, and the girls had a lot to do to lead people to their reserved table. Now an older gentleman, professional of his theme, came to our table, greeted us kindly and gave us the nicely opened buffet card. In a red long carton lid, after folding the same passepartout, the list of all components of the New Year's Eve buffet was tempered to the left, on the right side were the aperitifs, open wines, bottle wines etc. for the evening. There was a large bottle of mineral water on the table. This was opened by him as needed whether water is right to us and is presented in the water glasses on the table. We asked for our aperitif request. We chose the top of the house: Lillet Spray (Lillet, Sect, Raspberry, 0.2 l, 6, € . The empty plates at the table were seen and removed as soon as possible. The service team really noticed the pleasure and joy of working for this event. Five stars. The service team therefore deserves the full score. The food is great. A really great selection of delicacies. Also visually beautifully presented. Thank you. God the friendly waiter has fulfilled my wish and given me a buffet card at home. Otherwise it would have been impossible for me to fulfil the commandments. Since I have always done only small portions, there was a double supplement. Reh Burger in Preiselbeersenf A small break was due. I used this to talk to the neighboring table. One of the ladies on this table recommended Thai chicken lush with shrimps. Two boxes of soup broth with lots of content found the way, soup sauce. Still hot, the chicken pieces and the shrimps good in the bite. Usually sharp, but still pleasant on the tongue. As I spooned the soup, my better half on the opposite side already departed from Roastbeef with Café de Paris Kruste. And indeed only the sight of the cut stimulated my taste nerves. I waited a few minutes after eating the soup. And then nothing but a buffet to put one of the Roastbeef medals on my plate. Some vegetables and sauce and I could go. A dream of meat. The knife glitt slightly through the tender meat cooked like butter, dark pink laughed my first cut. And then the feeling in the mouth, just fantastic. What should I say three times had to be a supplement on a new record. For us the highlight at the buffet. Pink roasted Bratbeef with Café de Paris Kruste After a reasonable meal break it continued. Sweetheart approved part of the confit from the Spessartreh on Pfifferlingen, with red cabbage and potato dumplings. I tried the salmon trout on Rahmspinate. After that we were tired. Small section main dishes and supplements At this time we were delighted with the quality of the offer. The buffet was kept fresh from the kitchen, so the various dishes were still very fresh on the plate. Even before it started with the dessert buffet, I tried a variety of cheeses. Here also top quality. Italian cheese selection When the dessert buffet was opened, the Dessert's hero was quickly taken out: especially the women's world, but also some men made themselves with Zwetschgenröster over the Kaiserschmarrn. Add hot plums in juice from another bowl. Oddly. The maids had to fill up constantly, the run not so fast ebb. And so I didn't get another proposal, but I was satisfied with Mousse au Chocolat from the glass. Small part of the Dessert selection And I'll tell you, we couldn't try the whole spectrum. But everything, really everything we had pushed to the plate in the evening, was impeccable in taste and preparation. And that for the price of 48, € per person. It's not better. As a car driver it is necessary to be economical for alcoholic beverages, so during the meal we followed only, with the exception of water and aperitif, three glasses from 2018 Müller Thurgau dry from the Haus Wasserloser Schlossberg (0.2 l glass, 6.40 €), which made us both very good. The tables of the ambience We liked it very well. Country house furniture, wooden floors, tables beautifully covered, partly benches with upholstery, partly chairs. Two rooms in the corner area offer plenty of space. From there on the side of the wealthy counters. The buffet was set up in both rooms. Light is not bright, but secret. Cosy, atmospheric. But my photos were strong under the light. The photo modes of GG like to push an eye. Clean rooms, glasses, plates and cutlery leave a clean, well maintained impression. The seemingly redesigned toilets are located on the edge of the guest room. Conclusion: The restaurant Krone has clearly surpassed our expectations for the New Year's Eve event, which will be our main restaurant if we want to eat something finer à la carté. That's why I have a clear recommendation. "Klar, die Lage ist gerade im Sommer top, und das Essen alles in allem okay, ABER: In Punkto Service unterirdisch. Wir brauchten schon etwa fünf Telefonate mit der Chefin (in anderen Bewertungen zu recht auch als "alter Drache" beschrieben , um für eine Familienfeier einen Tisch zu reservieren. Als wir mit 15 Leuten und vielen Kindern ankamen, wurde uns mitgeteilt, daß wir eine halbe Stunde zu spät seien und der Tisch jetzt vergeben sei. Da uns auch niemand helfen wollte, fingen wir selbst an, Tische und Stühle zusammenzustellen. Da Platz nur noch im Selbstbedienungsbereich war, organisierte meine Frau Speisekarten und nahm zusammen mit der Taufpatin Bestellungen auf. Essen und Getränke für die gesamte Festgesellschaft mussten selbst in der Küche abgeholt werden. Da bei jeder Bestellung direkt bezahlt werden musste (falls wir heimlich verschwunden wären) wollte ich die Rechnung für 15 Essen per Karte zahlen, wurde aber empört auf ein Mini-Zettelchen am Eingang hingewiesen "Heute keine Kartenzahlung" . Da erneut Hilfe ausblieb, musste ich selbst im Nachbarort nach einem Geldautomaten suchen. Insgesamt erinnerte mich das irgendwie an "Versteckte Kamera" , nur daß ich verzweifelt wartete, ohne daß jemand auf dem Busch sprang und das Ganze aufklärte! Kurzum: Gasthaus hat auch was mit Gastfreundschaft zu tun, und der Dörsthof erinnerte eher an ein sibirisches Arbeitslager..."
