"what i like the best about teddys is the ability to pretty much customize your burgers any way you want. and if you get the mobile app it makes it even easier! today i decided to get the single burger with the aiea toppings (bacon, mushroom, cheese) but do it in a lettuce wrap, that way i could save my carbs for eating all the fries. i got the umami fries with bacon bits on top. my coworkers didnt even know you could mod the fries, so im pretty sure next time they go theyre going to add ALL the things on top i always forget how messy these burgers are because theyre juicy and stuffed with things like sauce and tomatoes that make a mess. luckily they know, so they always give you wet naps and a TON of napkins. as soon as i picked up my burger a whole ton of burger juice came gushing out the other side. good thing the sauce was on the side or im sure that would have added to the mess. umami fries were pretty good. couldnt taste the furikake. they were slightly spicy from the sriracha, and i didnt even know until halfway through that there was garlic bits in there too. tons of bacon on top, which made it hard to eat without a fork, but i was too lazy to get up and ask for one. and i figured since my hands were already going to be messy from the burger, might as well just eat the saucy fries with my hands too if you order when you get there be prepared to wait a bit since everything is made fresh to order. so would def help to get the mobile app and order ahead if you dont want to wait this location also has daves ice cream if youre looking for some dessert afterwards. i was too full for dessert, didnt even finish all my fries!"

"I made rsvp before walking in. Once I’ve arrived, he told me they don’t serve solo dining. Googles description says the place is popular for solo dining. He was scrambling around to figure out what to do. I showed him my email rsvp confirmation, then they put me in a room. They were speaking korean so I can assume they are korean. I can hear other rooms utilizing the karaoke machines but I was not offered to use the karaoke machine in the room I was put in, therefore I just sat in the cold room awkwardly waiting for the next dishes. I asked if I’m allowed to use the karaoke machine and he said, the first hour is free but I’m not allowed because I’m dining solo, that it has to be 2 people or more to qualify. I always eat alone so that’s a bummer that I’m not allowed to sing just like any other paying customer. Mind you, I came to eat right after working out in gym clothes but no one can see me because I’m hidden in a room. I can understand that I would receive a different level of service because of it. My server tried to be nice but I can tell he really didn’t want me there because they think it’s a fine dining establishment and I wasn’t dressed in that manner. They probably thought I was a bum because it was the weekend, I’m wearing casual clothes and no makeup lol The food was a mixture of Japanese and Korean food in small bite size portions. It was very basic and simple but not terrible. You can easily make it at home kind. Maybe because I’m chonky but I left still hungry and had to go buy more food elsewhere afterwards. I tipped big despite the food and service I received. This is not a fine dining or high end place. I will not be coming back nor recommending this place. Parking is very limited because there are other businesses next door in the same parking lot."

"I'm a little conflicted because I really enjoyed my recent meal at Habibi Tasty with my family, but I also think they need some work to reach their full potential (and to earn a fifth star). I'll start with the areas that need improvement because if they aren't deal breakers then Habibi Tasty is definitely worth a visit. Habibi Tasty is located on the corner of King and Isenberg streets in a space that was previously a moped store. They added a kitchen and some tables, and now it's a restaurant. Much of the space is left open, and the owners have dedicated a corner as a play area for their children. The space is very informal and feels unfinished, but is otherwise clean and well-lit. Parking can be a real pain, so be prepared to walk a little to get there. We parked next to Kozo Sushi because we initially intended to eat in that area until we saw large crowds and decided to check out Habibi Tasty. Prices are a bit high, to the point that we thought the dishes were intended for family style sharing when in fact they were on the smaller side of a typical plate lunch. $25 gets you maybe 2 chicken thighs, some rice, and a bowl of hummus. If you're still reading and wondering why you should visit, it's all about the food. Habibi Tasty makes delicious food with authentic Middle Eastern flavors. You can almost taste the love that goes into the food, and our chicken dishes came out perfect. We tried both the chicken breast and the chicken thigh sheesh. They were prepared with different marinades, and as a result the dishes tasted very different. The rice was fragrant and tasty, and the hummus was very fresh. We also had the falafel mix which was very tasty, and the saj bread to go with the hummus. Canned/bottled soft drinks are available, or you can bring your own if you prefer alcohol. Service was warm and made the meal feel more like a visit to an old friends house than a meal at a restaurant, a feeling enhanced by the simple decor and the owner's young daughter playfully visiting each table (she seemed about 3 years old and was a sweetheart). We left fully satisfied, and we plan to go back."
