"Dinner with coupon, 3 persons, 3 appetizers and main dishes as well as 1 drink, 35.30 € TG General The coupon for Göttingen and the surroundings applies only until 01.12.2015 and we wanted to roast the last coupon. Why not Chinese again? So I reserved a table for my two friends for 19.30 in the Shang Hai . Shang Hai is located on a side street from Kasseler Landstraße. Parking is in front of the restaurant and also in the surroundings. You can also easily get off at the bus stop Zollstock. Service When entering we were kindly greeted by the owner who also served. We were allowed to choose between three tables. We quickly received the cards and chose our drinks: a small mineral water (roll stone) 0.25 L to 1.50 €, a small sprite 0.2 L to 1.50 € and a large Cola Zero 0.4 L to 2.80 €. All drinks were served cold. When selecting the dishes, the lady offered your help. Stäbchen and Chinese bowl were also served on request. However, when the two Rechauds and the matching plate were built, the three starter plates had a somewhat chaotic back and forth, and I could save the Cola even before the tipping over. In addition, the tealights were not really filled so that they could not really fulfill their purpose as they were found in the afterlife. The lady was very friendly all night and tried. Ambience Cleanliness The Shang Hai is decorated like any Chinese restaurant. The fabric table cloths are green and shiny bright, pink paper napkins (folded for fan) are covered at any place. A memento with salt, pepper, really sharp sambal and very salty soy sauce is served for food. The cutlery comes with the blue white plates. There is the obligatory small aquarium with a lonely catfish, left is a wooden counter. The guest room is elongated and rectangular, I did not notice any other room. Something bad I found the bright light that remained in the hallway on the toilets. On the walls there are a few golden, Chinese decoration elements. Otherwise I didn't notice anything special, moderately cozy. At our arrival there were about 6 to 9 more guests on the main course. The numbers were the last guests. The toilets were very clean, otherwise there was nothing to complain. All dishes up to the appetizers are prepared with flavor enhancers! As an appetizer we chose a spring roll for 2 €, Wan Tan baked at 3 € and crab chips at 2 €. All the dishes were shared by us. The crab chips were served in a large bowl and were delicious scratchy and not too fat. The baked Wan Tan was served with sweet sauce in a small sauce. Unfortunately, they consisted only of fried dough and stood before fat. I've never eaten them so badly. The salad leaves for decoration also looked quite cloudy. The spring roll was fried again in the favorite kitchen appliance and after little too nothing, greasy and the fade filling reminds of a finished product. The appetizers were nothing! Only the really very cheap price settles here. As the main dinner we had selected all the duck dishes. Crispy duck according to Canton Art at 11,50 € (with mushrooms and soy sauce) Crispy duck with curry on 11 € (with vegetables and sharp curry sauce) Crispy duck with mushrooms and bamboo (with Chinese mushrooms) we did not pay for the voucher On the Rechauds, the three very large portions were served on oval plates. On top you put a large piece of meat below found a part of the corresponding ingredients. The rice was served in a large bowl. All meat pieces were very crispy, the frit had done a whole job. Especially in my dish, the flavor enhancers were tasted well on the consistency of the sauce with mushrooms and bamboo. Amazingly, I had no stomach pain after that. The curry was very sharp, so that the vegetables left my hairline, the third dish with mushrooms was almost cold. Unfortunately, my friend did it in the end. Have you ever been fried? We were not really excited and had no dessert. The PLV is not quite transparent: appetizers and drinks are very cheap, the large main dishes are within the normal framework. I was glad we all paid only €12, as a court was issued by the voucher. Conclusion Unfortunately, the Shang Hai could not convince by the food, as everything is thrown into the frit without exception or cooked with flavor enhancers. We didn't find it right. It also does not help friendly service and clean toilets. We're not coming back. I'm sorry!"

Café Botanik

"General After a very unfortunate day, I wished some delicious, warm noodles and wanted to sit outside with my dear friend. Besides, we just wanted to relax and not sit in the hectic. In the city, Café Botanik offers a small tap in the green area. There is a courtyard and a beer garden directly on the old city wall, the so-called Wall . At the last visit we only had a little drunk and unfortunately we have to wait very long to make a new attempt today. We entered the somewhat dark main guest room, which was already well filled at about 19:00 and went straight to the beer garden. Three service personnel were in use at this time and were clearly employed. After I put my closet, I picked up the toilets. These are located in the courtyard. I was looking for something for the first time. All fresh and clean! Four stars. We chose a beautiful place on dark wooden chairs in the outdoor area. You may remove two of the small round tables from the middle row, here the guests are very crampy. The weather was still good enough to sit outside and confuse the soul or simply shut off, only for this purpose is the Cafe Botanik: cozy reading of a book, thinking, enjoying peace, chatting with friends or just people on the street. Inside I had seen a larger group that had just served their food. In addition, some work colleagues who have probably worked on some requests or the like. In addition, a few younger dominations that probably wanted to take some alcoholic drinks in a quiet atmosphere. The menu of the Cafe Botanik offers many small things like baguette, burgers and some soups, as well as a daily menu and a wide selection of Persian specialities. It is worth tasting the Persian teas. In the nearby Ali Baba restaurant you will find the same card with a larger selection of dishes. The laminated DIN A5 cards were on the table and we served. A young man from the service noticed us little later and welcomed us kindly, we were the only guests in this area. We could place our order right away. I chose penne vegetarian with green pesto in tomato sauce, mushrooms, tomatoes, olives, paprika and parmesan cheese at 7.50 €. For this, a Bionade Litschi chose an ice chocolate at € 3.50. I was curious about the food and was hungry. The waiter brought us our drinks. The ice chocolate was delicious, but nothing special. In the meantime, three guests had joined us in the beer garden. These guests were also immediately supplied with drinks. A reasonable time later, my food was served. The young gentleman had forgotten the cutlery, but immediately noticed it, apologised and brought it after. Positive! My penne looked extremely appetizing and also looked very fresh. I shouldn't fool myself. Fresh ingredients, I even tasted the olives that were all day. All in a fruity, fat-free tomato sauce with fresh parmesan. A very reasonable part! The PLV is for a student city. Four stars! Everything tasted very good and I can rate good conscience with 4 stars! I especially liked the blue white dishes that seemed somewhat oriental and the inscription Cafe Botanik wore. At an advanced time, our drinks were emptied and I was tired and happy. The neighbors were served and we thought that we would now also serve the error. Ten minutes have passed. Another five (or more) have been recognized without. It's a pity if only five guests are sitting outside and only three of them are served. At the second performance of the waiter, my friend wanted to test if we were now taken into account (we both wanted to order a hot drink). Nothing! Unfortunately, my assessment of my first visit here is preserved: if you are sitting outside the Cafe Botanik, you will be served more slowly or not at all after having been supplied with drinks and food. It is a difference to leave the guests alone and not to annoy, or to neglect them. We had no desire to wait and decided to pay in the master room. Once we were sent to our colleagues, and it seemed when the Lord was very aware that we were not so satisfied with his still very flattering service. At first we were very attentive and friendly at the end we were no longer taken into account. Nevertheless, there was a euro tip for the good kitchen performance. Unfortunately, I can only award two stars for the service. You have to sit here, or you sit on the dry and in front of an empty plate. Shame! Please pay attention to your guests! I finally come after consumption and want to be served, otherwise I just order home and make it cozy. Maybe. I'll try Ali Baba again or sit next time. The food was good and tastes great!"

Café Cortés Göttingen

Café Cortés Göttingen

"In addition to an old confectionery on the main shopping street, Göttingen also offers the somewhat different café in the short Geismar street. The focus is of course on hot drinks and sweets. However, you can also choose a hot or cold dish from a small card. For a long time I was looking for the appropriate companion to wipe a cocoa with a piece of cake. How fitting my mother was to visit the festive days. Café Cortes is ideal for a relaxed chat with the girlfriend, cake with the family or a snack in a pleasant environment. If you are looking for a Wiener Kaffeehaus atmosphere, you are wrong. The cake didn't totally convince me, but the atmosphere makes a lot of money. Definitely an enrichment for Göttingen Three female operators were responsible for the rather small guest room. They are ordered at the large glass counter and can then either pick up ultra-heated drinks from a refrigerator in self-service (I knew or ordered at the table). All the girls were diligent and mostly attentive. In the meantime, however, no one should be considered with the guests or behind the cake counter. It's all great! In a large glass counter you will find cakes, cakes, Éclairs, croissants, chocolates, cakes, chocolates, pastries and various other snacks. This afternoon the selection of cakes for my suffering was a little rough: For cakes, I'd rather choose another confectionery. I haven't seen the right cakes (or were they gone????) It is positive that from 4 a.m. certain foods in the counter are reduced to half the price. Nevertheless, a minicroissant seems to me a bit very expensive for another 60 cents. The premises looked fresh and everything was presented appealingly. In various glasses there are other calorie bombs like cookies etc. A certain American EInschlag seems to exist if there were no donuts or muffins. There are also hot dishes and snacks on the map. But instead of lunch, I chose a square piece of chocolate cake with cherries and a crispy ground as I was explained. Cake with cake name would make sense. We wanted to order drinks at the table. We chose a small two table next to the toilets. From here we could look at both the back guest room and the EIngang and the counter. In addition to us there was an open refrigerator with all kinds of new fashion drinks, including picöchen for the claimed shopperin or interesting juice choir combinations. We were old-fashioned with cocoa. This is served here differently than usual: one chooses one of the numerous varieties of chocolate, for example in our case honey cinnamon and hazelnut chocolate. It's nice that in the little show it is always explained exactly who could taste this chocolate and what it contains. The chocolate is then served with a hot glass of foamed milk. After opening the packed chocolate bar, it is broken and thrown into the milk, where the two then enter a nice connection. A silver minifoamer is swirled around in the glass and feels integrated into the production of your own dessert. I knew this kind of Schokolollis or on bars from a similar place in Cologne but had never seen it here. It was really a big cup of milk and my hazelnut Krokant Schoki was tasty, but € 4.50 is just too much for a small chocolate flowering for the duration. Nevertheless, it should try every time. The varieties are worth it. Mom also tasted it. With milk a very sweet little pastry would be served, apparently a marzipanhapps (see like a MIni Mini Swallows . I liked, but I don't really like Marzipan. Well, he didn't cut me off the chair for the cake. Sure, what should be wrong with chocolate, cherries, gelatin and fat and sugar always tastes! However, the soil had these funny crispy eggs you remember Marshmallows. My mother said she would do it just as well and I'm right. It was delicious, but more than three points were not. Maybe next time I try something else... They are also bought cake, the same cake is available in the Mensa in the cafeteria. Probably the ambience can best be illustrated by the pictures. You enter the Cortés through a glass door from the pretty busy road. A large glass back to the right dominates the front area. Here you can order sweet little carriers for your loved ones or look for them. The front table shows through the large glass front a view of the colorful driving of the road and invite you to observe. Only sugar tastes the white tables. Black leather fittings are modern. On the left there are several high, white shelves, in which all hand can be found useful and not so useful little things: kitchen boards with sayings, the funny cooking aprons and kitchen towels with sayings of Americans, ticks women from the 50 harvests, cans, bags, baking accessories... Also the large photo wall or various modern watches (by the way everything went wrong! . Two large plastic trees placed in the middle of the room radiate some cosiness. Also a few printable kitchen panels decorate the walls. The kitchen is visible from the rear guest room. There are also several very large wall mirrors that give the room a little more space. On the sides there are plastic doors and on one of the mirrors there is a half moon-shaped label Conditorei. Only after a long time I realized that a black labrador was also welcome, he had fit so well in the leather fittings on the side table that I completely overlooked him. It doesn't bother me personally. Silver, modern chandeliers add the picture. During our visit I noticed from families to friends to couples of all ages. All mirrors flashed and flashed, everything seemed very clean. I didn't visit the toilets."
