"The day before Valentine 's day we decided to sneak out and get in a fancy dinner. Forever we have heard good things about The Radish. So we even called ahead the prior night to make sure we could get in. They do not take reservations. So we made our way there. The tiny parking lot was full as we expected. We parked across the street and walked up and right in. The hostess sat us right away, there was no wait. We got tucked away in the high back booth. The waiter came around and was very pleasant. We had our questions, and he had his suggestions and what he liked. We were talked out the nightly special. He did talk up the steaks but then with our mind on something different the pasta was at the top of our list. We opted out of appetizers due to prices. I ordered the highly suggested Bella Pasta: Rigatoni pasta tossed with olive oil, burnt garlic, shitake mushrooms, peas, roasted red pepper and a pinch of reggiano cheese. The size of the meal was not overwhelming. The veggies outnumbered the pasta. It was very heavy oil, but cheesy and really tasty I got the side of the house green beans which where talked up. They were really crunchy and done perfect for me. My husband got Chicken Piccata: Boneless chicken breast dusted with flour, sauteed with capers, glazed with white wine and lemon. Sided with buttered fettuccine. I got to try this one. The lemon had a nice bite to it and a different takes with the capers. He got a side of broccoli. So his broccoli came out on the same size plate of my green beans. It was two slightly larger heads.... steamed I guess, and they were cold. He was not impressed with two pieces of broccoli as a side Overall: The food was okay for the price we were paying. The flavors were good and different. I think we were just all hyped about the experience. The staff was great and it did start to pick up as we were leaving, but I am glad we didn 't have to wait a long time to have a nice dinner. I am glad that Grimes has this local restaurant, but I am not sure if we will be a regular."
