"The food was OK, but not outstanding. We had a reservation for 3 which we made about 2 or 3 weeks ago. It was parents weekend. Yesterday my son asked if we could increase the number in our party from 3 to 5 so a couple of his friends could join us. We called yesterday and left a voicemail asking if it was possible to increase the size of our party. Apparently they don’t open until 5:00. They never called us back to let us know whether it was possible. So we called back and spoke with someone at 5:30. They told us it was not possible. That is fine, no big deal. I was disappointed to see that they easily could have accommodated a larger party as the table for two directly behind us was never occupied while we were there. I would have ordered the imperial stout, but they didn’t have it. We ordered the cheese board. The focaccia and homemade butter were good, but the cheese selections were uninspiring. There was a goat cheese Brie which was a miss in my opinion. The blue cheese was ok, and there was a cheddar which was also just ok. We ordered the feta Cesar salad and this was very misleading. I think it is a big stretch to call this a Cesar salad. I did not get the sardine flavor that is the trademark of a Cesar. Also, for a salad making feta the feature, it lacked feta too. Next, I ordered the local farm steak, New York strip which was supposed to be aged for 45 days. I can’t tell you that it wasn’t dry aged, but it was a really thin cut for a dry-aged steak. I ordered it with the Demi glacé sauce. I can definitely say that this was not a Demi glacé. I have taken the time to make a Demi glacé before and I would refer you to chef John on YouTube for his Demi glacé. The thing you look for in the sauce is that it is thick enough so that when you run a spoon through it, it remains separate for a moment and has a dark caramel, glossy color. This sauce was about the color and consistency of tea. As a side I ordered ratatouille. What I got instead were vegetables which were whole and grilled. They were not sliced and layered as a ratatouille preparation would required and I did not get the tomato base. By this point I was so disappointed with the food I skipped dessert. My wife and son ordered some. My wife ordered the white chocolate cheesecake which came out as 3 small dallops of something, but I gotta tell you, maybe it vaguely tasted like cheesecake. My sone had the triple chocolate cake, and said that it was basically just a devils food cake. We paid $206 for the meal and I was very disappointed in the overall meal. On this one, I would have to say both the front of the house and the back of the house were to blame, but I think the kitchen needs to really focus on quality. Maybe these issues will pass by some people, but ratatouille is pretty distinctive, and that wasn’t even close. I didn’t give them zeros for this, but they are not performing above 2 starts."

"The Reuben sandwich was very good. The steak sub order was mixed up from the beginning. After the order was taken, a different waitress came by to check the additional toppings we had ordered on our chicken sub. Oops, no, that was a steak and cheese sub order She yelled to the kitchen and proceeded to take the order again. When the order was delivered, it came without the additional toppings and dressing. Had to ask twice to receive them. Husband finally stood up and went to the front to receive the dressing. Even with it, the sub was very dry. This required another request for mayonnaise. Then, it was edible. By the time we had all of the order, the food was getting cold. Not again soon."

"I've been there twice, and both times were excellent. The chicken tikka masala is just what you'd expect, creamy and delicious. The bengan bharta wasn't as zingy as some places make it, but was very good and, I suspect, a bit more authentic. The madras chicken was a real treat, especially if you order it spicy. And the vindaloo, too, was awesome. The aloo paratha was nothing like what I had in northern India, which was a bit of a disappointment as I had high hopes. But I do recommend the Lassi, either salted or mango. Service varies according to how busy they are. It's a small place with not much staff. But the food, while pricey, is wonderful."

"I adore this restaurant. I visit for special occasions and also get takeout from there. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. They seat you quickly, bring drinks promptly, offer excellent service, and the food is absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is fantastic. I'm a huge fan! I always eagerly anticipate my next visit. I've been coming here since I turned 16 and the food continues to impress me year after year. They have a fantastic variety of dishes to choose from."

"I used to enjoy their lunch buffet during the week, but I was thrilled to bring my nephew last Sunday to try it out. He really enjoyed it, especially the butter chicken. The naan was very fresh and all the dishes were delicious. The only downside was that where we were seated, we felt a blast of cold air every time the door opened. Next time, I would recommend asking to be seated in the main dining area."

"My boyfriend and I love coming here because the food is amazing and priced super nice for the amount that we get. The only reason I’m giving this place a 3 stars is because we went recently to dine-in which we usually don’t do. When we got there, the place didn’t seem busy like the take out station was. Our server was this guy who seemed friendly at first but then explained to us, while we were eating, that this place is named Sakura because it’s a fast food place. He tried rushing us when clearly there was no one there to serve. We felt super rushed and we DID NOT enjoy the meal. We haven’t gone back since because that was such a rude comment that no waiter should ever say to its customers. I understand they’re trying to operate fast like a fast food-chain but we had a bad experience."

"My experience at Rocktown Kitchen exceeded my expectations. The staff was pleasant from beginning to end. The food was fantastic. We ordered the Oysters, Buffalo Wings, and the Reuben sandwich. Every single item was fresh, flavorful, and fixed to perfection. Our server Nate was professional, sharing the specials, offering beer samples, and checking on periodically. "The teas are delicious and the staff are super helpful and friendly but the establishment itself is dirty. I have been to Kung Fu Teas across the country and this one is by far the dirtiest. The doors and entryway are gross. The management needs to clean the windows, doors and entry. There are fingerprints, smudges, and sticky goo on the doors you can see from the parking lot. The staff does a good job in keeping prep area clean which is the most important part but the place in general needs a good cleaning."

"Being brutally honest here, I've been down in this area working for the past 5 years now and the quality has majorly dropped off from the first visits years ago, except for the staff which has always been very accommodating and top notch imo. The steak has often been tasteless and grisly and the sub roll which I believe has been changed from the past is not very authentic to the South Philly traditional roll (Amoroso or Liscio"s) or proportionate to the amount of steak given. While I'm sure there are other factors in play here it's just not the same or quite frankly very good anymore, it's a shame because this place could be easily one of the best in the area if they just reverted to old form."

"I was a bit underwhelmed by the menu at first glance... I love Korean food, having lived there a few years. I forgot the name of my wife's dish, but it was quite amazing as well. Kimchi was perfectly spiced, if expensive, so worth it.Service was delightful. "We came to see Tim McGraw in Virginia and decided to grab some lunch here. The establishment is very clean and well kept. The menu was small but I was pleased with everything I ordered. I ordered a side of brussel sprouts and it was huge! I didn’t even need to order the appetizer. The broccoli salad and the pasta salad were also very tasty. The burger was cooked just the way I wanted it. The portion size of the food is well worth the cost! Everything was flavorful and the food came out rather quickly. It was rather difficult trying to find a place to park, but other than that, I highly recommend you stop in here if you’re ever in Harrisonburg, Virginia."
