"Who goes to Nola and think's Can't wait to try the Mediterranean food ? Well neither did I, but I will from now on. The Kabob House in Metairie has an incredible assortment of different drinks, foods, and desserts if you need a little change of pace from fried oysters and gumbo. What is seriously more impressive is that the food here was just as good as any I've had in NYC. New Orleans is a food town, but I had no idea this style of food was something I could find here with such quality. For the drinks I tried a soda that I had never heard of called Vimto that had black currants and other varieties of fruit with Hibiscus. I couldn't drink this all the time because it was very sweet, but it was excellent. The gentleman working the register also talked me into trying a yogurt drink. The best way for me to describe this is it was almost like liquid cottage cheese. The texture wasn't off-putting at all but I think this is one of those cultural things that you appreciate more if you grew up on it.The Falafel was very good. Brown fried crust opens to bright green inside and the flavor was totally on point. These were maybe $1 or less a piece and totally worth it. Also came with a tasty dipping sauce but they're plenty good on their own.The Chicken Shawarma over salad was really solid also. Nice crispy pieces from the outside of the spit but also still very tender and flavorful. The Kofta Kabob was seasoned perfectly and was gone before I could even take a picture of it! I am usually not even a huge kofta fan but this was excellent. The Beef Shawarma however was the best dish here, and it wasn't even close. The flavor and texture were as good or better than any I've ever had. Some pieces were more cooked than others and honestly, I'm not even sure which ones I preferred. This was served over hummus and that was also very good. Smooth and not grainy at all with excellent flavor all blended together.Goes without saying but i'll say it anyway, The Kabob House in Metairie, Louisiana Didn't Suck!"

"Staff and food in Peppermill are always wonderful! My family and I had a New Year's dinner every year for the last 25 years. This year we had to cancel the death of our patriarch, my grandfather. We asked if we could do a great job, to go very short and to commit them graciously. They helped us turn a very sober dark day into a beautiful gathering to honor our favorite man! Very gracious The Robert family. Thank you for making it!!!!"

"Just tried this place for the first time, yesterday! Everything was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Your drink will never fall below 3/4 without being refilled! The owner (I assume) walks around, greets, and talks to everyone and the entire staff continuously check to make sure you're happy and doing well!"

"Good service but I have NEVER in my life waited an hour and fifteen minutes for raw fish. They were more worried about to-go orders than the actual patrons in the restaurant. Already decided we won’t be back for one good roll and one decent roll."

"Straight up- this place is phenomenal. I’ve been eating at alabasha for quite sometime. Usually once a week. Well I went today to grab my usual plate and when I walked in the dude was like we closed. So my girl told me to try Hummus and more which is right down the street. I pass this place daily and never thought to try it. Well I got the combination plate with the shawarma and gyro and my god was is it good. Everything was hot, meat was nice and tender. Great flavor and the hummus was amazing too. Needless to say, I wish I would have known about this place all along because I feel robbed for eating at alabasha. I’m hooked and will be back again and again"

"Came here to celebrate some strong women. There were 8 of us and we were all full and happy. First, the crab cakes are super expensive, but amazing! They were loaded with crabs, perfectly spiced and came out hot. I ordered the Prix Fixe menu. Ceasar salad with shaved parm was a beautiful surprise. Greater than expected. My fillet was thought to be perfect. My lobster was perfect without the butter. My brothers were tough. The lobster Mac and cheese were creamy with lobster food, but somewhat underwhelming. Something was missing. My framed spinning was good. My brothers mashed potatoes came cold and lack of taste. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and meats of choice. The Prix festival menu came with dessert. We have the cheesecakes. Round and mousselike but really good with some fruit. The cream brulee was great. My mother's got a bread pudding to go and she ran over the next day. Overall, great meal and evening"

"Once again, what our favorite restaurant has become was absolutely great. my friend got chicken parmigiana, I had the auberginenparmigiana and both were perfect. our (favorite) waiter was great, so all men are in ristorante filippo. I feel like this place is the perfect example for a hidden gem, and how more people find out about it will understand more people why it is so popular with us masters. Check it out soon!"

"Last day visiting New Orleans, we decided to grab breakfast at a highly recommended breakfast/ brunch restaurant. Most said this place is all around good. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by that southern New Orleans charm. The staff were warm and polite and didn't mind going over the menu with us. We got a little bit of everything. We had no real complaints at all. Solid southern comfort food, each entree could stand on its own in flavor and execution. My biscuits and gravy was hardy and savory, dense but not hard. The pancakes didn't need syrup at all, semi sweet, light and moist. The omelette was perfectly seasoned and balanced in its proportions to cheese and fillings. The French toast bites were cute and sweet, the glaze drizzled across paired perfectly. If I could change one thing, the chicken which was an add on to my biscuits and gravy. It was cooked perfectly. Crispy and juicy, just oddly bland. Stuffed with no room left we were satisfied with the overall experience. Great place, awesome value and a restaurant we will continue to revisit while In Nola.Parking: Limited parking."

"Place is nice and clean, good sitting space inside and outside, good parking. People are super nice. Unfortunately…I did not like the espresso, threw it away. This might be a great neighborhood spot for breakfast or lunch but not a high end coffee place."

"I've been a Mark Twain customer since the 1980s. You may have changed owners several times, but the quality and taste has not been left behind. Best handmade pizza in Old Metairie! I'm never disappointed after a visit to Mark Twains Pizza! God bless America!"

"I see some people complain about picking up tempura to go? First thing first ding ding dingdong, sorry but your not smart, any fried foods will be soggy, actually try the tempura there and it's amazing crispy and on point. This place prides it's self on freshness and I am inclined to agree. Been coming here since they where in the old location off Causeway and have never ever been disappointed, nice work chefs!"

"we had difficulty finding a place to lunch because we are not out of the opposite and we hoped to find a "hole in the wall" restaurant. we decided to give this place a shot, and it was well oriented because we left completely and satisfied. great and friendly service! we were often checked and we were asked to feel welcome. the food was so beautiful and delicious presented! I had to take photos before I'd eat. I love artfully processed eating. I recommend the sitting area in the open. it was super comfortable and it allowed for a little more private sphere than its average italian area (my sohn is on the spectrum so that this was a goddessed.) my sister and I ordered the seafood gumbo with the shrimp armboy. my children had the children's menu (the options are only a few, but the teller were loaded) we had the pecan pee and the brotpudding for dessert (my mother favorite part of the meal.) it was a very successful meal and I would certainly recommend."

"Been wanting to try this place since it opened. Finally found a night to take my love for a date night. Outside area is huge, very inviting and done well. Inside is small but also done well with an all wood feel, nice bar with about 12 tables. Wait staff was dressy but comfortable looking. Server was knowledge, attentive, and did a great job. The food was truly outstanding. We had the fish dip and wedge salad for our appetizer combo. Both over the top delicious. Our entrees were the red snapper and the soft shell crab special. The OMG continues, both exceeded our expectations. All I can say is Station 6 immediately became a go to spot for me. I can 't stress this enough......it 's a must try restaurant.Parking: Plenty of parking"

"Horrible. Gyro was not put together at all, how it usually comes, has come before, and shown before ordering. All the ingredients are just slopped into a box with a single small wrap was thrown on top. White sauce that 's supposed to be in the gyro is instead all over the rice which btw is dripping in grease. I just had shoulder surgery and unable to cook so after 20 mins of trying to fix it properly myself I gave up and threw it away. Way to much dry and bland meat for the tiny wrap they give you. the salad is about two tablespoons worth. will NEVER order again. I really don 't understand the issue because I 've ordered from them before with no issues and the food actually has taste to it. you guys have gone way down hill and honestly by the taste of your food you 've hit rock bottom. Waste of $30 I should 've just thrown it in the burn pit. DISGUSTING"

"Love the casual, laid-back atmosphere here. Our service was nice efficient. The muffuletta was to DIE for. And, the blueberry white chocolate cheesecake was sublime. Not too sweet or heavy. Kind of amazing for a cheesecake"

"With my friends for lunch. Food was good and fresh.. Customer service was excellent. I had the Tofu Pad thai medium spicy.. It was the right level of spice for me. How I really love hot food. My friend thought it was too spicy what I didn't agree.i thought it was perfect ..so when u love spicy food received medium level.. The place is small with limited seats, but customers are in and out during lunch. I would recommend this place. They also serve sushi I have never tried, but I will definitely be back.. All right"

"My wife and I went here for our 7 year wedding anniversary. We had the privilege of being taken excellent care of by Brooke! Upon finding out we were celebrating our anniversary she excused herself right away and immediately returned with a card and arose for us. She was very friendly and attentive the whole night. After hearing the specials I ordered the Surf Turf and mywife got the Double Breasted Chicken on Brooke 's recommendation. Neither of us were disappointed! My filet mignon was amazinglytender and nicely crusted! The lobster tail was perfectly sweet! My wife 's chicken was blackened on the outside and very juicyinside. Our sides of mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus had amazing flavor to them. At the end of dinner we enjoyed aChocolate Gooey Butter Cake and Dark Chocolate Truffles which bared more well wishes of a happy anniversary to us. Other staffmembers also stopped by to hear our love story and give their well wishes for many more happy years. It was an amazingexperience we will not soon forget. Thank you again Brooke and everyone at Fleming 's!"

"The lady who took my phone order was very pleasant. When I met her in person, she was very courteous, with a big smile and refreshing personality. I am sorry that her name escaped my memory. The food was good that came with a reasonable price. I'll definitely go back again for my Greek meals.I went back and ordered a Gyros platter this time. In this visit, I made sure that I didn't forget the ever smiling pleasant lady's name: SARA/SARAH."

"Everything was great. Food was excellent. Only issue was that we sat upstairs and the waitress was stretched a little thin with the amount of people she was serving. Also after several customers sat upstairs the air conditioning could not keep up and it got a little warm. With this being said I will definitely be back. Food and drinks were spectacular they could have been having a bad night. The waitress explained that they only had two cooks for some reason, but we were not in a rush and it gave us time to visit and talk."

"Dined in recently and, as always, it was a wonderful experience. Antonio was our server and he made some wonderful recommendations I had not tried before. They were absolutely delicious! He did a stellar job! I have been a long time customer for many years and it is always a pleasure to dine here. Food is always delicious and timely. Service is superior. I love this place!!!"
