"We’ve been dining here for almost ten years, pre Covid it was a must go to any time we visit Cambria. Post Covid is a whole different story. Had 7:30 reservations, only had to wait about 10 mins. Then the problems started, was given water immediately, waited about 20 mins for our server to finally come over, ordered a bottle of wine and two sodas for our kids as well as placing our food order at the same time. Got our drinks in about ten minutes. We ordered a goat cheese salad with chicken, fettuccine with chicken, the burger, and the flat iron steak medium rare with chimichurri sauce. Nearly 45 mins later our food finally arrived the chicken on the salad was incredibly overcooked and dry, the wine sauce on my daughter’s fettuccine didn’t have the alcohol burned off and was so strong it was burning her throat, steak was cooked properly but the chimichurri sauce was more of a paste( probably made in a food processor or buffalo chopper instead of hand chopping the herbs) the fingerling potatoes were cold and the broccoli was horribly overcooked and had enough garlic to to kill a horse, my sons cheeseburger still had the paper that separates the cheese slices from one another on it. I usually don’t give reviews on bad restaurant experiences because after being in that business for over 20 years I understand that places have off nights once in awhile, but this is the 3rd time we’ve gone to Indigo Moon since COVID allowed restaurants to open back up and each time it has been horrible, I’m not sure what happened but we’ve definitely gone for the last time, think twice before making reservations, there plenty of other better dining options in Cambria."

"We stayed two nights and had two breakfasts, one dinner. The breakfasts were less good than the Hampton Inns. The coffee was nearly undrinkable, the blueberries were still frozen as in, stuck together. The muffins were gummy. The scrambled eggs with cheese were the best choice. The dinner? An entree and a bottle of wine were included in our room reservation. We had heard that prime rib was available. It was not on the menu, but we asked, they had it, and that 's what we ordered. A large slab, ordered medium rare a very large percentage of fat, a bleeding center, and the little that was left was actually good. The baked potato and the asparagus disappointing. The butter was actually something else not sure what. And the wine. They were out of their house cab, which came with our bargain, so we were offered a bottle of Angeline Cab, retailing for $12 15. And tasted like it. I really couldn 't drink it and so ordered (and paid for) a glass of something else, better but forgettable. Angeline is in Sonoma, apparently owned by Martin Ray, while Paso Robles has endless excellent wineries. Someone needs to give serious attention to the wine list. The service was well meaning and friendly. Cambria has lots of good restaurants, cheaper and far better than the one at CPL. We 'll go back for the lodge, but definitely not for the food. Oh, and get your morning coffee at Mojo, on Main Street."

"WILD GINGER, a bistro, prepares flavorful Aisian dishes, with a California twist. In many ways Wild Ginger is in the style of the cafes we enjoyed in Taiwan. The eatery is small, family owned and operated. There's an open kitchen, and with a nod to Cambria, a large, umbrella protected patio. Due to the pandemic the restaurant operates as a takeout only service. Debbie and her small stuff are knowledgeable and friendly. They are reflective of the hospitality of her homeland, Belitung, an island on the east coast of Sumatra Indonesia. Down the block, another excellent restaurant, Robin's, is owned by Debbie's sister, Shanny. Wild Ginger's menu is annotated with vegan and gluten free options. Servings are flavorful, large, and quickly presented. A limited selection, of wines and beers, is offered. Warm sake brings comfort to a cool Cambria evening. Let the sake set a minute or two, as it is served quite warm. A selection of delicious, house-made sorbets, and baked goods is displayed. Takeouts are available. Everything is wheelchair accessible including the gender neutral bathroom, which is located outside, at the rear of the patio. Dogs are invited to accompany their owners on the patio. (Dog-friendly patios are common in Cambria. Free parking in a lot a hundred feet to the South. (To the left when facing Wild Ginger. Some street parking is available."
