"Fabulous dinner. The pork belly appetizer was delicious. The Ad Astra bread was it’s as always, amazing. The crispy brussel sprouts were so good, that I was tempted to take an order “to go”. For the entree, my wife and I had the 7oz filet and I must say that it was one of the best filets we have ever had. A wonderful crispness on the outside, melt in your mouth tender with a flavorful sauce, tiny potatoes and snap peas. Absolutely delicious. I hope they continue to offer this dish. The only downside was the $40 corkage fee. Just a lovely place to eat."

"We were looking for a place to eat and a local recommended this place. We stayed at the lodge and usually do not eat in our hotel restaurant. This restaurant is a certain exception. My short rib-dinner dish was as good as it will. Here's something I never said. My huevos rancheros breakfast was my favorite meal of the trip."

"Lovely, simple Californian cuisine. Service is warm and welcoming—they seated us at 8 even though the cafe closed at 8:30, and we didn’t feel rushed in the least bit even though we closed the place. All the food was flavored well with simple seasoning that let the fresh ingredients shine. The combination of corn and shishito pepper was unexpected but provided a bright contrast for what was a hearty, satisfying pizza. The dessert sounded good in theory but was too strong in rose flavor. Would love to go back for a meal when back in the area."

"Fantastic lunch. Reservations only available to sit outside but they had tables inside for us late comers. Once our eyes adjusted to the dark interior could see a full menu with lots of salads, sandwiches, pizza and other starters. Had a grilled artichoke which was served with pickled peppers and mayo for dipping. Really good. Opted for a smoked salmon pizza. It was thin crust with creme fraiche, topped with smoked salmon, capers and some red onion. It was awesome! Never had it before but will try to make it at home now."

"At the eastern end of Carmel Valley Village, you can easily drive past the epic ride from Carmel Valley Road towards Arroyo Seco and continue to Greenfield... You are an evil MISTAKE!!! The Running Iron has not only these very western, Cowboy type Vibe, its walls are covered with history that supports it!! Oh yes, and then the FOOD is!!! I tried several menu options and was disappointed NIE! Among my favorites are ANY the Burger, the Reuben Sandwich and the GOBBLER!! YUMMY!!! And who doesn't appreciate excellent, friendly service?!? Perfect stop at the end of a ride or motorbike ride when you come from the east, or a last stop for a bite and pot break before this fantastic ride / drive east (one of my favorites! Who knows you could just stop eating on the way out and back to dinner on the way!! Ha ha! You must visit at least once! ENJOY! BTW, if you are on a motorcycle, DON'T misses the Moto Talbott Motorcycle Museum just a few doors away. SPECTACULAR collection of rare and old motorcycles."

"One of the best lunches in town for me. The outdoor seating was really comfy, but there's also indoor seating available. Enjoyed a lovely tapas-style meal with a selection of small dishes like Yucca Fries, crabcakes, and miniburgers. It was a lot of food for us, but we prefer smaller portions. The sangrias (both red and white) were excellent and ideal for the hot weather. Everything was tasty. Highly recommend it."

"This place is appropriately named, it has only three tables inside and some outside seats. It is very picturesque and charming. And my breakfast was one of the most expensive items on the menu at just $7.99. Well, the price is as good as the food, that's pretty good brewed. I recommend going to this little place."

"My first time to Plaza Linda and I am already looking forward to going back. Everything was great. The food was super delicious, we had enchiladas that were so savory and tasty. the atmosphere is comfortable and all of the people around were all kind, we had a great time. The music, fire, and the people just multiplied the greatness of the place. The owner is professional and very attentive to everything that is going on and checked in with us to make sure everything was perfect and of course it was beyond so. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some more of the tasty looking food. And of course when all these restrictions are lifted and we can sit on their beautiful patio or inside and enjoy our meal and company. See you soon, Plaza Linda peeps."

"We are hungry during a ride on CV Road and most places were reserved only on Mother's Day, but Trailside was open for walks! Great mood, and the pear cake looked tempting when we found a table near the bar. A BLT and a grilled cheese with tomato soup later that Tart found it way to our table. Delicious! Our server was friendly and efficient. She knew the menu and the backstory to the dishes. She also made a perfect espresso Macchiato. The music was a big background, we could just talk at our table, everything felt clean and welcoming. Maybe the new target in CV?"

"I had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. I stumbled upon Carmel Valley by accident when I noticed a bus line going there. I'm so glad I decided to stay on the bus and explore the area, leading me to this hidden gem of a restaurant. The outdoor terrace overlooking the valley was breathtaking. A kind fellow diner invited me to join her at her table, and it was wonderful to connect with someone who shared the same appreciation for the serene setting. I ordered the pumpkin curry with hot sauce, and it was delicious. There were other lunch specials on the menu that I would love to try next time. The staff, especially the female server and a gentleman from El Salvador, were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcomed. The ambiance of the restaurant made it one of my most peaceful dining experiences."

"Large small neighborhood Italian restaurant in a strip-mask. Don't let that go. The first day we just went salad. We chose a Greek salad and it was huge and delicious. Next time we had a pizza and the Greek salad again. The prices are good, and they had a circulating door of people coming and picking pizza, so we thought we were not the only ones who liked it. Service was fast and pleasant. Salad image is my half, hubby had the rest."

"I ate at Cafe Rustica this weekend. I ordered the Wood Oven Baked Rigatoni with mushrooms, beef bolognese sauce and parmesan cheese. After just a few bites I gave up eating what I can only describe as a disgusting dish. The dish had a skin of dried out baked parmesan cheese and congealed sauce. The pieces of meat and mushroom where minuscule in what only could be described as gravy – in no way a bolognese sauce. The pasta was way overlooked. There is no way I would consider eating there again or recommending it to anyone."
