"This place is amazing. I have eaten a lot of sushi, but never at such a personal place as this one. I ate here last April. This location only takes reservations, so be sure to call to make a reservation. There are only a few tables. When I went, there was three other parties. The place is ran by the sushi chef(Seiji? and his partner, I think. The lady serves you and takes your order. She will serve you throughout the night. The sushi will be brought out by the sushi chef. He will say a few words about each sushi roll. This type of service made me feel great and valued as a patron. The food itself is very authentic tasting. This place won’t coat the sushi with sweet or savory sauces. You won’t find “American-ized Sushi” here. Instead, the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The sushi is made to stand on its own. We ordered the poke bowl, the miso soup, a deep fried roll, and a few sushi rolls. The fish was fresh and very tasty. Overall, I recommend Seiji’s Sushi as your first stop in Kona for amazing authentic sushi."
