"We were just passing through town and I googled best lunch restaurants near me This place popped up and I'm glad I read the reviews about not being scared away by it being in a gas station. It's true there's no where to sit (as posted in other reviews) we just opened the back of the truck and sat under a shady spot in the parking lot. The food was really good. "I wanted to treat my mother, my grandmother's sister for a special dinner to celebrate my mother's 50th birthday. I had some dig online to find some nice restaurants and came across Katya. Words can not describe how amazing my experience was to discuss my first call to them my reservation, the whole way to say goodbye on our way. Katya, her sweet parents The boss has completely exceeded our expectations. Kathryn helped me, our dinner with a beautiful handwritten birthday card, sparkles at the table, and a delicious bottle of wine and cheese board awaits us at our table. I am always grateful to her and her family for making so much effort to feel my mother so special. We will definitely be back for more! Thank you very much! If you? "CONS: We were pretty excited to try this place out...what a let down. We felt like maybe our waitress didn't want us as a table? She hardly came to us, and left us for long stretches. After we ordered, we heard the table next to us(a different waitress) get offered a special appetizer. We would have loved to order that. AND they were offered Swordfish and a duck special, that we would have also ordered if we had known about it. Plus, she asked us if we wanted her to bring more bread, and we said sure. She never came back again until we received our dinners, with no bread. She left us for so long between stretches, that I gave her my credit card before any mention of the bill, because we didn't want to have to wait for fifteen minutes for her to bring the bill to the table. It was still quit a long wait. PROS: What we ordered was pretty good. My husband got the short ribs, which were a little fatty, but tasted very good. I ordered the Sorrentino veal, which tasted great. The food itself was not the problem."

"This place is great for vegans! I was really shocked to find a restaurant that had vegan options in the middle of Florida, but thanks to Happy Cow I found out about this restaurant. It's just half a mile of 75 that's perfect! We ordered online and within 15 minutes our large order was ready for pickup! I ordered: edamame, miso soup, herbal tempura and herbal sushi. It was delicious! The tempura was light and crispy, the soup was tasteful and hot, and the sushi was great. Very recommended."

"*Updated Rating8/7/2022* My husband and I have been coming for a long time since my first review(2018) and I feel like it's time for an update. I am still in this place as a restaurant and it was one of the few places that remained consistent even after the pandemic. We come for both brunch / dinner a few times a year and have either Charles or David for our servers and both make sure there is a special visit every time. This weekend was amazing with both servers because I celebrated my birthday (the only place I wanted to eat in Ocala) and at both visits our servers were very courteous and made every experience instant. The food is always excellent and consistently delicious so I try to come here at least a few times a year to celebrate milestones. I highly recommend that you come here also outside Google reviews to anyone who asks. There's something smart for every taste. I always try a new dish every visit and still have to be disappointed. This is the best secret in Ocala. *Review of 2018* Came to brunch last Sunday and had a great time. I loved the decor and the music they played was great. For something raised for the Ocala area it was a surprisingly relaxed feeling for brunch (dinner might be different). I had a cappuccino, Eggs Meurette but I replaced the potatoes for a side salad. While the salad was great, I saw the potatoes at the table next to us and they looked amazing. I'm not sorry to get her, but my salad was great and I'm not sorry to get it. I'm definitely back to see how the dinner menu is."

"I am usually generous with my reviews. I can't give them more than one, because my husband's food was just okay. Cafe con Leche and it was cold? I ordered my 3 Steak Tacos meal with NO ONIONS served with so many onions and the steak was burned to a crisp and barely edible. I made one of the 3 tacos after I pick up the onions and completely burnt meat. I couldn't eat salad, guacamole, sour cream because they were covered with onions. The waitress, Gabrielle, never came to ask how our meal was or whether we wanted something else, she just brought the check when I was in the dirty toilet room. And she should have looked at the order before she brought him to the table. NO ONIONEN I still don't know how the fried beans melted? It would have been possible to taste the Marcella wine from my husband's food was nothing like beans. $50 for 2 people a meal and 3 tacos (not to my order), coffee and ice tea. TacoBell $9.87, no typing required. I don't recommend this place. Totally disappointed."

"Unfortunately, this place went downhill. They used to have the best prime rib anywhere and now they don't even have it. Last night we went to dinner and I ordered a steak. Although it was boiled to the right temperature, the non-existing lake, what you expect, was a steak from steam before it pulls over a microwave. The sweet potato was dry and hard, but the spicy chicken bite appetizer was actually very good. We also had a waitress who gave Houdini a run for his money on his disappearance. My wife and I ordered drinks when we set ourselves first. We were never asked if we like another, and she never filled our waters, even though we were sitting at the edge of the table. Maybe she had a bad day and took it on us. With all the inflation that went ahead, I should have known that something was going on when I noticed that all menu prices actually went down. I think it was to reflect the decline of food and service."

"we have enjoyed bob evans for many years, but for some time not. we were sad to see many of our menu favorites gone (heads cake, top pumpkin cake, grilled cheese and some vegetarian options including a vegetarian friendly suppe.) we came in to start the holidays season and found that we could not get short with our meals only bananenbrot or kekse. who thought that was a great idea for the autumn? erika took care of us. we found menu replacements for the largest part. the extra meat protein dish was very good as the shiny, and the bananenbrot was as good as always (only wish it had been pumpkin.) the mac and the cheese, the cod and the frits of the fries fell in the average short and plentiful. I wish there was less and better if there was a cost trading. very short staff, but everyone coughed and smiled. thank you!"

"My partner and I are big fans of Piesanos and we order from there often. Yesterday we decided to be spontaneous and called to place an order. We were greeted by the very friendly Felicity, and we asked her to surprise us with our order, but requested the largest pizza. She was thrilled to do so, and we couldn't wait to see what she would come up with! When we arrived at the restaurant to pick up our order, we were greeted by Felicity herself, who was excited to show us what she had created. As soon as she opened the box, we knew we were going to enjoy the "Felicity" special, and boy did we ever after taking the first bite! I highly recommend Piesanos and the "Felicity" special!"

"Food sizes were neither too much nor too little, it tasted great and they even provided me a slice of cheesecake for my birthday! "We were seated promptly and our server was great! Chef comes out 30 minutes later (obviously drunk). He was staggering and swaying the entire time. He then proceeds to spill yum yum sauce all over the entire area. He then cooked everyone at the tables steak at the same temperature even though they were supposed to be different temperatures. He somehow managed to give us raw steak that was also burned. Fried Rice was crunchy and had a piece of plastic in it, noodles tasted like WD40. The shrimp was so overcooked that it was literally black. Chicken was undercooked. He missed the trash can with every egg shell but somehow did manage to get one in his hat. He also stuck his serving fork into the trash can and then started cooking with it again. He also burned his hand multiple times on the grill. The family that was seated at the table with us went to speak with the manager. The manager replies and I quote, “ Yeah, we knew he was drunk but we’re short staffed.” Once my fiancé told him that she couldn’t eat her shrimp because it was beyond burned, he started to catch an attitude. At this point I go to speak with the manager and he says” He’s drunk but he’s new.” Um….WHAT??? Finally after trying repeatedly to legitimize why his chef was drunk, the manager says “we won’t charge you for your food.” I said I appreciate it since none of it was edible. I will be back to tip our server as she did a great job and none of this was her fault. I completely forgot on the way out."

"i stopped in for lunch and the service was super quick; i was in out in 30 minutes tops. when i told my server i’m vegan, she said anything could be veganized. i ordered a khing dish (dont remember the name) with green beans, bell pepper, and ginger then asked to add tofu sub the rice for rice noodles. everything was flawless, from the portion size (perfect for the price; admittedly i thought it was small when placed in front of me, but walking out satisfied but not stuffed was a relief) to the aromatic flavors of the whole strips of ginger tossed with the spicy sauce and still crisp, not overcooked veggies. amazing experience. i’ve never left a happy cow review, but after my favorite chinese place that had a full vegan menu closed down, i thought “[censored], places with vegan options you can eat at with non veg friends are better than none!!” their lunch time is very slow and is probably the best time to go if you can. once i placed my order, the meal practically flew out of the kitchen! so fresh, wanted to lick the plate or order a second just to take it home."

"We really wanted to like Asian Pop but our visit did not allow us to unfortunately. I love supporting family-run restaurants but this one fell short. A child sat us at our table which we thought was very cute. The booths were beat up as well as the walls and ceiling. It took a server 5-10 minutes to greet us and take our drink orders. There were several things on the menu that sounded good though so we were still optimistic. I got a chicken bento box, my wife got some sushi and our daughter had lo mein. The sushi honestly wasnt good, my bento box was just ok (on par with a substandard chinese buffet), and my 6 y/o wouldnt eat her lo mein (she usually like lo mein). It's not cheap to eat out these days so it's very disappointing to fork over over $50 for food that wasnt very good!"

"I recently visited Ocala and went here for breakfast and was very satisfied with the service. The employees were cheerful and friendly, and the coffee was superb! I had an orange zest cinnamon roll as well and it was delicious. "It's been a long time since I was with this special Miller? Ale House. I was really disappointed by their portions, they were sooo much reduced (see the salad and soup portions in the pictures). You're pushing people to eat here. The funny thing is that we still pay the same amount or in some cases even more and get less for our money. Salad is not expensive, you can at least fill the bowl. Chicken strips are also much thinner. Doo Waitress was great!!"
