"Visited Vienna 20 years ago and it didn't really make much of an impression on me. When reading up about the city this time round, the coffee house culture really interested me, so decided to try to visit as many as possible. There was scaffolding outside when we got to Korb, which was a shame. We sat outside and got served by an arrogant waiter (though I understand through the guidebook that Viennese waiters are known for being brusque). We ordered the strudel which apparently they are famed for and I got a Sacher torte and iced coffee. My husband enjoyed the strudel though the torte was dry. The iced coffee was strong and absolutely delish though (and kept me awake all night!). I wandered into the cafe when availing myself of its facilities and loved the old world retro feel of it. Worth visiting for the experience."
